Would have been cool if he went to the Steelers. His college and pro locker rooms would have only been like 20 yards away from each other.Quote:

KC will take him if he drops that far
Emotional frailty? He looked professional all the way. It's just freaking awkward having him sit there with cameras on him for hour after hour. They learned their lesson after Aaron Rodgers a few years back.Quote:

he is fragile... he has an image and if things aren't going his way he gets upset, might have more to do with his GF not liking the idea that there will be a lot less gucci and prada now that he has easily lost $15+ million
Well I can kind of sympathize with him since for the last month all he saw in the media was him being taken in the opening selections. I'm sure this is a huge blow to him. On the other hand, he HAS to be relieved that the Raiders didn't take him LOL.
All week the Cowboys have been saying they want to trade down, as they don't have a supreme need for anything in the first. Someone else trading into this spot is VERY likely imo. Otherwise, taking Quinn would seem like a really "Jerry Jones" type of thing to do.
If Quinn doesn't get picked up by KC, then it'll be awhile before someone takes him as I don't see any other team in dire need of a QB, unless the Browns can trade up for him.
Drama over.
Wow. It seems as if Cleavland WANTS to win this year. Just dont know if its enough.
Whats funny though... is that at least in Joe Gibbs first go around... that strategy yielded 3 Super Bowls.Quote:

Teams often make reaches to get players they want and give up more than they're worth on the open market, that's just part of the game. The problem with the Redskins is that they do that on several players per year.Quote:

With him taken, Seattle should pick Blalock in the second if they don't take a TE. If they wait until later, it will probably be Alleman or Ramirez. Either way we need a new guard.
Ahhh yes.Quote:

Well, Atlanta just took Blalock, so looks like it won't be him. I like Ramirez a lot, though that could be because I actually knew him in college. :DQuote:

On D I want Brandon Mebane the most. The hawk run defense took a big step backward last year while Marcus Tubbs was injured. Just ask Frank Gore.
Wow, so far every pick in the 2nd round has been traded.
Worst pick of the day: Kevin Kolb to the Eagles.
I hope this guy never plays a down for the Eagles!
It will be interesting to see how the Browns do compared to the Lions, since they got the 2 guys Detroit could have picked instead of CJ.
The Eagles can afford to take risks, they didn't really have any GLARING needs. I still think Miami taking Ginn early is the worst move so far, not only because he would have been available later, but because they have much more glaring needs than WR and KR imo.Quote:

Either Holcomb will not be on the team, Or Kolb practice squaded?

It was strange for the Eagles to take Kolb because they may have been able to get him with with there late 2nd round pick, and got someone else with he earlier one. Like i said, Reid must really see something to take him higher than he projected. I still think we went for a QB a year or even 2 early, If we run the ball like we did the last half of the season, Mcnabb should have 3-4 good years left in the tank.
Eddy McCaffry anyone? These guys seem pretty similar. Then stick him with another WR threat (Rod Smith, R. Williams), then put a great QB to throw it to them (Elway....HAH, oops, the Lions lose.)Quote:

I think he's a bad fit for Detroit, but then again the Detroit fans would go apeshit if they didn't take him. I don't think he's going to make a big impact his first season.
Maybe he is the new "Barry Sanders" for Detroit, they need a big play guy. But it might not matter if they can't get a QB to deliver the ball, and an O line to protect the QB.
Sounds like you underestimate the power of Jon Kitna.;)
Ed McCaffry was big... but not nearly as big.Quote:

Don't get me wrong... McCaffry was a great WR back in the day. But as far as pure physical talent goes... there is no comparison.
I don't think that Johnson will have that big of an impact in Detroit either... as you guys have mentioned... no line, not a very good QB, and not e very good running game. And a bad defense.
But it's a good pick I think. Him and Roy Williams will be great someday I think.
