Haven't read anything in the local newspapers about a vick/moss trade. Moss doesn't have it anymore and I hope the Raiders can dump him on some other team. He's a "me" player and I'm happy to see him go. Obviously Porter can't stay either after what happened this past year, so expect him to be dumped as well. The Raiders are pretty deep at WR so I'm not worried about losing any of these guys. I am, however, very dismayed if they give up the #1 draft pick.
Sportscenter reported last night that the substance in the bottle the airport took from Vick was *not* marijuana, just so you know.
Also Vick is the best athlete in the NFL and he is a good quarterback, as taking the Falcons to the Champsionship game can attest. He suffered this year with the loss of Peerless Price though.
I'd say he's average overall. He caught lightning in a bottle one or two years, but he's been a reason they lose just as often as he's been a reason that they win.Quote:

yay! raiders hire a 31 year old college offensive coordinator with little experience as their head coach, obviously the most logical step to follow is to get rid of your receiving corp and go after a running QB to run behind your non existant offensive line... recipe for suck-cess

I'm not saying the Raiders are a playoff contender just yet, but I do like this coaching decision. Get someone new and young in there and maybe he will stir things up and get some innovation back in the offense.
I just hope we keep our defense together this offseason while we rebuild the offense, because the defense is very solid right now and definately playoff caliber.

Well dumping Moss and Porter are a given. Latest reports on the trade are: Vick and Atlant's first draft pick (10th overall) for Moss, Porter and the No 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft. Now THAT is a good deal as far as I'm concerned. Porter is damaged goods who's departure will free up some cash. Moss was such a nonfactor last year that he might as well been sitting on the bench. The Raiders would've picked up a QB in the draft anyways so by getting Vick they won't have to go through rookie growing pains. Having the 10th pick will still give them a chance to pick up a decent OLman. I'm looking forward to this.Quote:

I just don't see how he "sucks". He doesn't. He wins more than he loses, even without any big named receivers and a less than stellar running core.
I just hate ppl that bandwagon and hate on Vick just to hate on him, when he isn't that bad.
He is crazy fast, probably top 5 fastest in the league at any position. He also has a cannon for an arm. He needs discipline and he needs a bit better accuracy but he is still amazing.
Does he pass like Brees? No. But he never did.
I'd love to see Vick wearing Silver and Black :)
