I don't know?? I think this is a really good video card. I just got lucky. I have benched this system atleast 50 times in the last month and get pretty consistant scores so I know this isn't a fluke. Maybe your card being a NP is why your score is lower. If you look at my OC I am running my card at almost 9800 pro core and memory speeds. Rage3D won't even let me adjust my core anymore. I have the slider maxed out.

BTW If you go to the FAQ for RageTweak over at rage3d.com you will see how to edit your registry to allow higher clocks.;)
Thanks :D I will check that FAQ out. I think I'm done benching this card, but i may use that tweak for the 9800.

Hey Ranger, I noticed you've got QUITE the OC on your video card - are you sure that's not a typo? After all, the world record for ATI cards' memory is 418, and you claim 434 on a 9700 Pro! :confused:
He just reversed them. Normally you would see core/mem but he listed them as mem/core.Quote:

I had my 9700pro up to 474 core with water/pelt cooling and a Vgpu mod.:)

I've since had my 9800pro up to 390 mem.:) I put that volt mod on the mem back on. ;)

AHHHHH.. I know...it's a sickness...really.
I never actually removed the mod I just snipped the wire for it. I couldn't help myself as all it took was 30 seconds with the soldering iron to reenable it. I'm not pumping hardly anything through it though. I just bumped it up to 3.00 volts.
