I'd try a manual o/c. Who knows what timings and such the BIOS sets it at. I'm running DDR416 CAS2-3-3-7. For all you know, you could be running the DDR266 divider and 3-4-4-8...Quote:

EDIT: I used the software o/c instead of manual though. o/c'd to 30%
No benchs from me for a bit. :(
Vapochill took a huge crap, took out the MB and processor with it. :(
The FX5900 Ultra started locking up everywere, in almost any game at almost any core and memory speed exept underclocing by a ton, funny thing was it ran perfect at 1980x1440 32bit but not at any other resolution. I sent the FX back for a refund. Back up card is a GF4Ti4600.
Asetek is on holiday for the next week or more so no support at all.
Got the MB replacement on the way and a nice back up xp1700, but it`s just not going to be the same without the vapo and fx5900. :(
My memory is 353 and core is 432. I have seen people post them both ways and I just went with the memory/core style. My bad :eek:Quote:

Oh man! Sorry to hear about this, that's why I don't go for exotic cooling. It's too darn scary! Rukee, you have my sympathies :(Quote:

Hey mikeysg, I got and mounted the vid card cooler from 1coolpc.com (and left the IceBerq 4 on too). The one with the 80mm fan. It perfectly covers the front and back of the vid card and my NB. Took 10c off the vid card temp under max load -- pretty happy with it. At idle with room temp 24c: CPU 22, case 25c, GPU 45c. Max load CPU 44c, GPU 61c. Now if I can just squeeze a little more FSB out of my CPU/memory I can get to 19k.
Sweet!;) But I wanna see pics (if ya can) :p . FYI, I've mounted a 0.58A 120mm case fan within my case to actively cool my 9700Pro with the passive Zalman hs. ;) My 9700P used to choke at about 350-355mhz core (with stock cooling), now I'm able to hit 380mhz and I haven't topped out yet (the fan made quite a difference!) ;) . That's why I feel the Zalman ZM80C-HP is the best solution to getting higher core for my 9800Pro. ;) Trouble is, it's not available in my neck of the wood yet.:(Quote:

Well, still haven't got my good cam back yet -- I guess it needed major surgery :D I'll try a pic with my web cam -- sure to be bad :DQuote:

Edit: check PM too please.
Hope this works. Anyway, if it does, you can see the 90mm on top of the SLK-900, the NB HS, then the vid card with the 80mm fan. You can barely make out the bracket but it fastens to 2 of the PCI card screws.

Edit: You can't see it but the IceBerq 4 is installed on the vid card too (you can make out the faint blue light from the led fan on it). thx colossus for hosting.
I've got an Olmpus digicam lying around somewhere (Dang! I'd totally forgotten I'd bought the sucker a few months back, haven't even used it once!), will look for it so that I can post some fotos of both my rigs.;) Have checked and replied to PMs.;) :)Quote:

I hate to keep working you guys but I decided to run 3DMark2003 since i hadn't done that one in awhile. My new score is 6441
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=1085740
Looks like a pretty nice score for a 9700 pro. It's #4 when I do a search for 9700 pro's
Thanks for offering, pic on the way . . .Quote:
