newbie hacking...grrrrrrrr

Well, I got Diablo 2 and started a Battle.net character. So earlier tonight I was playing and trying to complete one of the quests and someone with a lvl75 character comes in and offers to help me out. So we get to where I needed to be, and he then proceeds to kill me and take all my stuff. Needless to say, this really pissed me off, then he starts taunting me and calling me a wuss for not fighting him again. People like this really really piss me off...what do you all think about this type of behavior? Is it fairly normal, or was this guy just being a jerk? Well, I guess I don't need to rant anymore...grrrrrrr

Sorry dude but you fell for the cheapest trick in the book, I only play on BN in games started by friends and password protected..

I only play Hard Core and i have a collection, (on some dead chars I admit) of over 60 ears. AHAHHHAHAH

well, I ended up getting my stuff back after all. I discovered a little later that he had neglected to search my corpse, as it was hidden in some bushes. He got the money, and the other persons stuff, but missed mine.

*breathes a sigh of relief*

but it still really pissed me off. I ended up going the rest of the time solo, and finished up Act 1. But I'll tell you one thing, its not gonna happen again.

Wurm - I would post his name, but I can't remember it at the moment. Should have written it down, but I was too pissed at the time. What really bugged me is that I really didn't have much in the way of anything that would help him out or even be worth very much to sell. I mean come on, a lvl 75 Barbarian vs. a lvl 8. Paladin Yea, real fair fight, and its not like he could have gotten much of anything out of it except for the joy that he killed me. Whatever...I'm just glad I got my stuff back after all.

some where duel;s but most where straight out PK's, Although I will say i never kill anyone who's a lower level, most were 2-3 above me but once you get past lvl 30 its all who gets in the first swipe.

You're not the only one who's glad. Yea, so I've learned my lesson now...so I'm basically just going to start my own channel and password protect it. You can't loot the corpse without your permission is D2. *** is up with this online RPGs? I can't find one where you can loot someones corpse and take at least one item. Must be all the whining cry babies who just can't face the reality that someone should be able to kill you and take your stuff.

AFAIK you can take someones stuff...that's why I was kinda pissed. Cause a lvl 75 vs. a lvl 8 wasn't very fair, he just wanted to kill me just to kill me...

Well when I was playing you needed permission. All you could take was their gold which doesn't fill my need for loot.
