WOW that grass is amazing. I personally don't like the character model on the first screenshot, but none the less it looks pretty good.

So probably around a 1 GHz processor with Geforce 3 and 256 MB RAM...for playable.
PCGAMER said it will take 1-2 more years before a video card comes out that can use 100% of its features. Other then that no one will be able to use all its power when its released. :)Quote:

Have you seen Anandtech's Unreal performance Test ?
A system with a Athlon XP and a GF4 could run this game at 1600x1200x32 everything MAXX and get around 50-60 fps :D
I for one am glad that PC games are finaly starting to take advantage of our shiny and nice hardware :) MoM shouldn't complain either ,hes got a GF4 TI4400 @ Ti4600 speeds :) He'l run the game smooth as butter..
what uhuh i better be able to use all the features right out of the box. i didnt spend all this money for this 8500 so it would be obselete before any games came out that took advantage of its capabilitiesQuote:

That isn't what I was talking about. Sure you can use the features 100% out of the box. But what I am saying is everything will be default and that was what the test was ran at CocaCola. Go email Anandtech peeps for yourself and they will say they ran it at default and the only thing they ran max was color deph and resolution. Bet me $100 they didn't run the game above 512x512 textures it is IMPOSSIBLE literally with that engine you would have to CUT THE BALLS off it before you can run textures that high.
btw dudewth you misconcepted what I meant. You can run it all like I said above but all those screenies you see right now are DEFAULT so why run it higher when A) its going to crush your video card and B) you dont need to since your video card can process that yet NONE can at least to a playable frame rate. I mean look at what the default is giving you, I think that would be alittle asanine to say "NO I WANT IT ALL". It actually sounds immature expecially since they planned this for the future. I am sure if they never told anyone and just left that setting in there and people screwed with it wondering why they got such bad FPS everyone would blame DE. Either way they can't win people in this world are too greedy and no matter what you do they will either hate you for not telling them or hate you for telling them and leaving them in anticipation. Its up to you guys to decide which one you hate more. But dont go postal on there *** for creating a engine that is future proof and MODDABLE for christ sakes.
This game is gonna rock! I hope they make more games that torture our video cards!
