I saw a link on gamespot for xboy, but it said that i have to pay for it. The info said it would likely compete with the GBA. Does anyone know anything about the xboy or is gamespot just making up *edited*!!!

It wouldnt surprise me if the big M (Microsoft) is wanting to corner this market too. Man if they ever do release one they might go OK, the market is pretty untapped at the moment (only one player Nintendo). There is always room for improvement and for more competition. At this point companies that have tried and failed are...

I always thought game gear was better than game boy...but now with game boy advanced theres really no competition. Chances are MS would make theirs huge anyway, just like the suitcase aka Xbox.

However, if it had something comparable to the dreamcast, or a maybe even a psone, and backlit at around 120-150 I might buy it.
thanks for the article but, it is kinda old. If there was something as good as the psone i and very porable, not like game gear, i would buy it. but not for more than 200 canadain. I had a game gear and i couldn't understand why it wasn't more popular. Exept for the size and battery usage.

I would definitely buy a $100 portable if it had the same capabilities as the psOne. I would be suprised if sony didn't try to release something soon. Seeing as how small the psone is getting and they already have the screen for it. It's only natural that they go even smaller and make it a portable handheld. Think about it, it would look like a cdplayer but have a screen that pops up so you can watch games. The psOne only has a 133mhz processor in it and 32mb of ram (I think).

I searched google as well and found another article on the xboy and it was dated about the same as Jr916's. There isn't much recent stuff out on it so maybe they trashed the idea. :(
