When do you believe we will see newegg to have Parhelia's for sale?
The first wave of Parhelias with 128mb should be out in a few weeks. :)
OK! That's good news. I think newegg will price Parhelias around 350$ so I think I'll order one. I'm so positive about this card. It combines 3d top-notch performance/quality with professional graphics.
(at least that's what I hope to)
I'm looking forward to some reviews :)
I doubt it will be a GF4 killer though.Quote:

The Parhelia sounds like it's going to be a very interesting card. I highly doubt it will be the GF4 though.
well on the 25th of this month Anandtech will have a review up on this video card. So it will be really soon after that you will see the card up for sale on newegg.com
I should be there just about the time it shows up. :p
I've a feeling that with full eye candy (that's what I like, 16xFAA, AF, etc..) Parhelia will be above Ti4600.Quote:

When I say 3d top-notch performance/quality I mean to be able to run current and future games with high iq at 60+ frames. As I have a Viewsonic VX500 LCD screen, I can't go higher than 1024x768 anyway, so what I want, is to play games maxed out at this res.
Besides, this card can give me some luxuries like surround gaming, professional graphics, 10-bit giga-color, I like that candies!
LOL I know I'm not having 3 displays but in future who knows?
Only thing I don't know yet is if Parhelia has an exceptional TV-out. If TV-out (dvd, gaming) is near ATi's this is my next card upgrade from GeForce2 GTS 32MB (poor GF2 I almost cry now :D)
I may not be a GF4 killer but can the GF4 do three monitors???
Screw 3 monitors I don't have them and I don't have room for them.
Parhelia's ability to handle 3 monitor gaming is an indication of its power. Do not forget Parhelia won E3's best of hardware. For me, that means something:)
I never dismiss new hardware but I'm not gonna waste my money on something untested. I wanna see what the reviews say and more importantly the gamers and fellow sharks say about it before I even consider it. Although I don't see it being so great as to warrant an upgrade from my gf4. Also there is the question of drivers and compatibilty to consider as well as how it handles the current games (ie will it run them ok or will it need patches for the games).
Excellent point you beat me to it, i wont dismiss the card till i read its reviews. Ill buy one test it against my 4600 card then either return it or keep it, its kinda like me upgrading my 2000XP(which is unlocked and runs at 1900mhz) to a 2200XP its pretty much not practical. I highly believe that the R300 or the next gen Nvidia card will outperform this card. The last card to come out will most likely have thwe most power thats my theory on this anyways.
Upgrading from GeForce4Ti to Parhelia is non-sense. Except if money is not a problem at all.Quote:

I consider Parhelia as an alternative option to GF4Ti.
the fact that it doesn't have any bandwidth saving technologies will hurt it a lot...the bandwidth savers account for around 20%-30% of performance for the radeon/8500 and geforce 3/4 cards...also who have enough money for 3 monitors and not to mention it's quite large price tag? but anyways a new player is always welcome...as long as it drivers prices down ;)
