I hawe a ISO game backup compressed in 30 small Win Rar files ,.. today i opened the files with winRar and click to one file and after click to "Info" in WinRar top options and the program showed the information on file .., after this i clik to ok to close that "info" but once closed all my filles size changed all from 14649 to 15000 .
It is wrong or i killed the files or what is this ?
How can i change filles back pls ?

yea, backed up in 30 rar files. You dl'ed the game, and there's nothing wrong with what you said. Don't freaking worry about it.
The file size change from converting from bits to bytes or one of those. Becuase they aren't on a base-10 scale the #s get all weird.

anyway anfpunk is right. you have to keep in mind that 14.649 kilobytes is *NOT* 14649 bytes. instead of multiplying by 1000, you multiply by 1024. 14.649*1024 ~= 15000
anyway for your own good please don't talk about warez openly like that. it's against the AUP.

So in your smart opinion everybody who split a file in 30 RaR is a warez usser :confused:? . I hawe all my stuff in small rar filles ,..growup man !

My dog cracked me 9 CD's once so i allways do backups of everything i hawe , especialy games .

I find people always assume the worst of people. Suppose the game isn't copyrighted? Maybe it's Freeware/Shareware? Maybe he's just making a back up to put on floppy's? I just want to state that I find it really RUDE that everyone assumes he's doing something illegal.
As for the winRAR, h*ll if I know, I use Powerarchiver. ;)

You said it for me and while I do agree with you I must play devils advocate. Since he never siad he downloaded the game but made a backup it is wrongful of you to make assumptions. Now we are all guessing he didn't make a backup of his game in 30 rars but who knows. We dont and he never pointed towards anything illegal so...;)
I have to give this thread a triple :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:!!! Not many people zip up rar files and then don't know how to unzip them...HOWEVER, he DID say backup...so the thread won't be locked:(
0ne more thing please , did you guys see in my top post something like "intelectual warez debate for jerks only" ??? ,.. if you like to give opinions on warez you can do this in other forums when asked ,.. my post was about a rar file so if you dont' hawe anything to say about my RaR post please dont' reply .

But i was mad because this is about one personal retail cd backup .
CDRW are made for this , for backups and CDRW are legal , a backup off my game is also legal ,.. so i dont' know why this post must contain 1 good reply and 6 spam replys .
Now , ...why you give me an advice for warez when i backup my personal game i hawe no ideea , i mean this is like i go to a store to buy stuff and i meet you and you tell me that " if i stolen stuff i go in jail"

If you know something about RaR please post , if you like only to spam or talk with somebody about all and nothing give a call to a friend or girlfriend if you hawe stuff like this.
