What POPUP blocker do you recommend?

Please don't say the one in TweakXP as I've tried it and it blows. There was one I tried that has NO system tray icon and it runs completely in the background, however you can access it's menu by right-clicking in Explorer. I like that one the most. If only I can remember which one that was. Anyway I have Windows XP and check this out.....for some reason on my wifes logon the second she hits the web she will literally..LITERALLY get DOZENS of pop-ups one after the other. She can literally not even surf the web without popups coming over and over and over and over. Something is wrong as this just started this morning. So I am going to uninstall every program I don't recognize and shut down and back ground processes as well. In the meantime I would like to know what the "in" popup blocker is.

I personally use Pop-Up Stopper from Panicware. Works pretty good, although I haven't tried many others. :)

I've been using pop up cop for a couple of weeks now and so far so good. The thing I like the most is that it doesn't block popups that you need....like when you click on something and it opens up in a new window.

aren't you guys get angry when you are surfing a nice site:D:D:D and all of the sudden a popup comes to bother you

Hmm I just downloaded it and it works damn good. I went to a site I usually get raped with pop-ups and I got none. The way to compeltety turn off all pop-ups though is to turn off active scripting.

Try Adshield ots very effective and doesn't have a tray icon or anything.

I would recommend that you just download Mozilla. It's a very good browser and I highly recommend it over M$ things.

popupstoper pro is good, but i also use opera alot that has a built in popup stoper.
