What do you guys think the chances of getting a GeForce FX in time for the holidays will be?? I've heard that a small shipment will arrive in December, before they are easily available on the market in February. My question is though, what stores are going to sell them in December? Would you have to order them directly from the manufacuter's website (PNY, Gainward, etc.) or is a place like Best Buy going to get a small shipment in?

I don't see it happening. I think even the reviewers will have a hard time getting their hands on final full functioning boards by that time.
It usually means that OEM manufacturers like Alienware, Voodoo and Falcon Northwest are getting the cards so that they can tought them in their uber gaming boxes. That they sell for buku bucks, which nVidia will have charged them in the first place.Quote:

it'd be great if it did come out by christmas, but i highly doubt that's going to happen seeing as not even the popular reviewers such as Tom's Hardware or anadtech have received reference cards yet. I'm guessing that they're to be released around the spring quarter...HOPEFULLY :)

Well tsmc reports 0.13m production of yields of the nv30 have risen to 70% Today is decemeber 6 so it might be real hard but its not totally impoosible.
Am banking on getting on sometime in the first week of janurary. As for reviews i do wish they god dam came out with one if i dont see a review soon am getting 9700 pro
