Punishment.

one of my coworkers complain to me that her son is playing too much games on the computer instead of doing homework

I told her to lock up her sons current PC (P3 800 system)
and I gave here a replacement system with the following specs.

486x133mhz AMD
12meg EDO ram
Win95.
$5 sound card
4 gig HD
4x cdrom.
28.8 modem
Office 97.
Diamond Viper 2 meg video card

let see that punk install Unreal or Quake on it now!

hows that for punishment... muhhahaahha

not sure he's smart enough to download and install Nesticle or Callus yet tho.

hehe - yup, that would solve the problem pretty quickly, I'd think :D

The Parents can sell them off on eBay, I doubt they [the parents] would ever use them, except as a DVD player (which is pointless, you can get dedicated DVD players for as little as $50 nowadays).

nah, just install win2k or winXP then don't give them admin rights, so they can't install jack and just use office.... ;)

Unless you have little hackers :) I have a little proceedure for resetting the admin password to blank. It kills all your permissions but gives you admin rights. I've also had to use regedit to remove IE parental settings from a parents computer once :) I've also kinda stuck my foot in my mouth mentioning there being a easy way around a BIOS password too :)
