Geil or Mushkin??

Looking to upgrade my Samsung PC2700, is it worth paying ~$20 more for 2x256MB Muskin over Geil PC3500?? Or would you guys recommend another brand?? Am afraid if I wait much longer prices will go up even more.

temps: case 31-34C, CPU 52-54C running SETI (using Si grease for now), doubt I'll be able to go much past stock RAM speed with those temps until fall.

Mushkin is High Quality stuff, I really dont think you can get any better. I have it and it works great. GEIL I have heard is not that great and sometimes doesnt even run at its rated speed and forget about overclocking it. I dont have first hand experience with GEIL, this is just stuff I have read+heard about. My choice obviously go with Mushkin. Also they give you 2 weeks to test it out, if you dont like it, you can send it back no questions asked.

Stick with Mushkin, Corsair or Kingston Hyper-X. If you do not need super fast you can get Crucial cheap. I would not touch anything else.

Almost bought some Hyper X when Best Buy had it on sale a couple weeks ago, but doesn't it have issues with some NF2 mobos??
Crucial's PC3200 is only CAS3, not much of an upgrade.
If you guys know of anyone who has Mushkin or Corsair on sale, let me know. So far looks like ordering from Mushkin's site is the best deal.

I think mushkin is probably the best ram on the planet,as per some people I know.;)

They had a special for Memorial Day weekend, 2x256MB DDR400 was $90, wish I had bought that. Hopefully they'll run another special this weekend for July 4th.

Mushkin already ran their special on PC3200 this week, i believe it was 90bucks for two sticks of 256, or something like that

geil is mostly all bark with n byte. You can find many cheaper memory sticks that are better.

Damn they have specials on like everything but PC3500. They have free shipping though, so $142 for the dual black pack PC3500 isn't too bad.

Hey with free shipping I could of got the 1GB dual pack for $243 instead of $252 :)

My Kingston HyperX 3500 runs great with my Nforce2 board. I have the Asus Deluxe Ver2. From what I read the Abit Ver2 (Nice Board!) runs well with it also!
