finally got a gamepad recently, a saitek P880 ($19.95), it's pretty good! never used a gamepad before, i was too worried about not having as much control as using the keyboard. works excellent for madden 2004, took a while to get used to.

For racing games I always use a wheel.
No other controller beats joysticks when it comes to piloting a lumbering Timberwolf.
Or Mad Cat, whichever generation you're stuck in.

-sometimes the CH yoke and pedals
I use a mouse and keyboard for most games. I use a MS Sidewinder Precision Pro 2 for flight sims and a MS Force Feedback Wheel for racing games.
I use my logitech/MOMO wheel for Rallisport challenge.
I have two Microsoft Gamepad Pro's that my brother and I mainly use for playing Madden 2004. It works pretty great for that game. I also have a Microsoft Sidewinder Wheel that I barely use anymore.
I don't play any games that would be able to use anything other than a keyboard/mouse combo so I just use that. I can't play very many FPS games on consoles to save my life (Goldeneye and maybe Halo would be the exceptions to this).
Keyboard + Mouse for 98% of games (inc. mechwarrior 4 ;) ). Joystick for flight sims and some space sims, wheel for racing.
wouldnt it also depend on what kind of game? shooter... driving.. such as that? dont laugh too hard but I have used a steering wheel for a fps.. was a great deal of fun but not too accurate... but was still fun.
keyboard + mouse + trackball... that's right TRACKBALL.

It all depends on the game type. Fps =keyboard and mouse, flightsim or the like gotta go with the joystick, racing games steering wheel and platforms or sports gamepad.
Agreed...but "lumbering" should only be applied to Mechs that are 100 tons or more like the Direwolf aka "Diasha" or the Atlas...Quote:
