I just got one, seems very well put together, not a fan of the chrome back piece, it just gets all smudged and finger printed up. I have stuff on order to get it installed in my car.

Yeah... I actually would like Nomad Zen myself... but iPod is still awesome! Jealous...
The new Iriver that was released today/ recently seems pretty sweet as well.

The iPod overall is just nice, I know it is a little more expensive than similar ones, but it is pretty tiny. The main reason I went iPod over anything else is the availiblity of accessories, I have a car mount, charger, and FM modulator that runs of the iPods power for it, which is absolutly a necessity for car use.
My ipod is worth every penny. I love it.

Get yourself a maclear... the first thing I did when I took my iPod out of its box was put it in one of these guys. It covers everything, even the touch pad, so no fingerprints or smudges.Quote:

I agree 100% with that. It has been my favorite piece of hardware since I purchased it and has kept my interest.Quote:

How does the iPod interface with your car stereo?
You probably need some sort of audio in unless you have a cassette deck.Quote:

Hans, I went to the apple store online and I didn't see any refurbs. If there are any where would they be?
At the bottom left there is a "special deals" link. At the time of this posting the only refurbed ipod available is the 2G 20GB version. You have to check back often since the $169 2G 10GB will sell out within minutes of posting.Quote:

Ok, I see, thanks. I htink I'll get the 20gb version. Did you notice any markings on your refurb or did it seem sort of new?
Seemed brand new to me. No scuffs, fingerprints, or marks of any kind. The unit was sealed and came with all new parts. The iPod was wrapped in some sort of plastic that you had to peel off. If you told me it was a refurb I would think that you were lying. Plus, it comes with a 1 year warranty so I'd go ahead and grab one, although I think the 10GB 2G ipods are the best deal.Quote:

you can buy the iTrip or one of the many FM Transmitters for the iPod and then sync your car radio to that station....voila!Quote:
