Stupid sister has homework so I can't install it tonight!:mad::mad:
BTW, the heeatsink is larger with more fins and the fan is now a 60x15 up from the 60x10 it originally was.:)

Easy, there, Homer Simpson.....the time for 2.6G will be there soon enough!!!!Quote:

Cool, glad you got it... I noticed that the heatsink on it seemed to be rather large on the one in family computer. The fan also was really quiet IMO.Quote:

Too bad you didn't get the JIXHB (Am I right with the good stepping?):(
Anyways, your stepping still looks decent, from what I know so far. Let's see what she can do tomorrow, especially with your God-sent RAM:)
btw, Mfreddio how are your case mods coming so far?
The "good" stepping was JIXIB.
Hopefully, I'll be able to see what it can do tomorrow.:)
Yes post how well it overclocks...oops got ahead of myself. Uh, please post if you overclock it, I'd like to see how well it does vs. my 1700xp.
Trust me, he's gonna OC that thing:)Quote:

Without a doubt...:)Quote:

Now, should I go right for my max...or shall I be kind and gentle to prevent premature electron migration???
Ohhh, xDUCK!!!

not with the low voltage he uses, if he grows balls, gets an slk-800 and uses like 2.2v then he might have a shot :)
"Now, should I go right for my max...or shall I be kind and gentle to prevent premature electron migration???"
start at 2GHz and increase the overclock 100MHz at a time then fine tune after that. 210x10 equals 2.1GHz would be a good goal for you
I think I'll be able to do better than that at 1.85v.;)Quote:

What's this about growing balls??? You don't run your chip at 2.2v!!! Second, your SLK-800 is not too much different than my SK-7, right now me getting a faster fan will help more than that pindly upgrade.
Why do you always talk down to chips that are superior(JIUHB) to yours(AIUHB)?????

Right now I am at 213x11 = 2.343GHZ
Something funny I noticed, the 1800+ is 1.533GHZ by default, the difference between my old CPU speed and my new one is exactly 533MHZ.:D
My board has SEVERE undervolting...I'm at 1.8v in the BIOS.:eek:
I think this is all I'm going to o/c given the temps.
At 213x11.5 it errored just after hitting enter to log onto my account. This was at only 1.64v though.
I'm sure this chip could 2.6GHZ easy.:)
For some reason my +12v rail got better after changing chips and going to a higher MHZ.
For anything more than my current setup and maybe even what I have now, I'd have to recommend a larger/higher quality PSU.
Looks like I beat T-Bird's goal for me!:p
This was right out of the box too, no burn-in, figured I won't ever have supercooling so loosing a bit of my max overclock really doesn't matter.:D
Gj Speed:) I am getting making new plans for my next rig. I wish I had one of those 1800+'s right now though. Come on AIM tonight if ya can. See ya later and good luck:)
2.34GHz isnt bad but my xp2000 eats yours at 2.47GHz  you still got lucky given the low voltage you pumped, but I hear DLT3c's hate high voltage anyway, they were built for very low volts while the DUT3c's can often tolerate 2v or even more. I doubt youd get much, if any higher overclocks but feel free to prove me wrong ;)
Awesome job man, looks like that chip turned out better than you thought! Now it's time for some better cooling;) ;)
That chip you have there looks like a real winner:cool:
