Excellent choice!
Ask ANYONE here...they love 'em.:D
They are gonna sound really nice with that soundcard, you'll love 'em! For best quality though, make sure you have it plugged directly into your sound card:)
I'll do the soundcard then, was debating on whether I would want to plug in there, the front of my case, or the microphone plug on the volume controller for speakers ><
Try all 3, just to see how much better the sound card sounds. When I plugged mine into my headphone jack, I almost though about taking my 212's back, cause they sounded so crappy. The sound card was a whole other world for me.Quote:

If you have speakers that plug into the same output, then grab one of these guys and you'll be set:)
Or you can get one of those switchboxes that XP18004life has.:D
Here is a little pic for ya

:)
That's pretty sleek/compact. I thought it was one of those medium square boxes.;)
I just switched from RS-65's (were great, but batteries started to die REALLY fast :() to HD570's... To be honest, I can't hear the difference (but my wallet can :)).
The only thing I don't like is that it only turns off my front speakers. I have to either put my sound in 2.1 or turn off my speakers completely to switch to my 212's. I guess it's a small price to pay for efficiency:)Quote:

Hopefully I don't loose too much of the signal when I get my Ultra's:cool:
Got my 212s today, very impressed. How much do those little things cost xp1800? (the switches). There is a def difference between plugging in the headphones to soundcard and control pod but it's quite annoying to go to the back of the computer everytime i want to listen to the headphones.
I paid right around $11 I think, I don't remember the exact number. Sometime I'd like to see if there is a difference between the sound card and using the switch.
Glad to hear it. After a few days of constant use, the highs and mids should open up even more.:DQuote:
