If you're sure that the monitor is good then it looks like you should RMA the motherboard. If you can cross ship it then you can try out the new mobo before you send the old one back.
Have you tested the monitor on another PC?
the monitor works with a different comptuer but not on the abit
RMA time on the motherboard if you can do it.
has anyone ever tried using the Abit RMA how long did it take? and how was the replacement board?
How long have you had the MB, you can usually return it for a replacement at the place you bought it within 30days.Quote:

i've had it for 2 weeks but this is a RMA'd board because i messed up my last NF7 and excaliber says my 30 days are over. I hear that if you RMA with abit you get these crappier boards like some have messed up capacitators

Excaliber? Is that the site you bought it from? They are wrong about rma time. If 30 days is the policy, every new product gets its own 30 days. They have to honor that and if they don't tell them you'll report them to the BBB.Quote:

Now if that motherboard worked when you first got it, maybe you are doing something that is damaging it. Overclocking? Bad power supply? You might want to figure that out before you waste any more motherboards.
My powersupply is fine it wokrs o nthe other ocmptuer fine and has decent rails. its a antec 300watt. i've only overclocked 2.43 ghz so far. Maybe the Cpu is dead? how would i know if the CPU is dead or if its a motherboard problem. And if it is a motherboard problem how would i tell excaliber that they should honor my warranty? Thank you for the help :)Quote:

Try out another cpu in the machine. Could be a dead cpu. Does the fans spin up when you start it up?
yes the spans spin everything works fine execpt theres no display
I haven't used Abit RMA, maybe they are better than Excaliber. Considering that Excaliber tells you that you can't rma to them
Actually i have RMA'd with Ecaliber i already RMA'd my old NF7 already for this one. My experience wit Excalibers RMA is verry good. i highly recommend them. But how do i know if the CPU is dead? Should i RMA the mobo or the CPU?
