as of now my NF7 [according to sisoft sandra] is in 2.0 AGP config
i believe the 9800 pro needs 3.0 AGP; what is the minimum voltage for this?
im currently at default [1.5v] and im getting no post whenever i put in my radeon
any other suggestions to allow my radeon to work in my abit NF7 are welcome

have you plugged in the extra molex connector to it? what card did you have in there previously?
yes i plugged it into the psu
i currently have my ti200 in
hmmm...does your comp power up at all and then shut off or what? maybe the card is drawing too much power for the psu to handle. I'm really not sure...

:) Anyway, I would start by removing anything extra that you have in your PC. Start with the pci slots, then move to extra hard drives if you have them. Post your results.

perhaps you don't have enough power then. When is that antec430 coming in that is in your sig? That's my guess, not enough power.
Might not have the heatsink on correctly, it shuts off when that happens too.
good thought...how hot is the back of the card centered opposite the gpu when it shuts off? If it's blazing hot, that could be the problem...
heatsink problem? when i put the 9800 pro into my cheap 1.2ghz celeron system, it works fine
and nothing is hot in my case

one thing that i dont understand is that ati states 8x requires 0.8v... the lowest voltage my bios allows is 1.5v- what gives?

Default on my AGP slot is 1.55v, whuch is also the lowest. You may want to try bumping it up.
edit: But with the system not even staying on it sounds like psu problems.
