I feel like adding fan holes to my case, anyone do this, or do you feel like this is more work than fun? Please post your comments.

Yeah? Two on each side laterally? How did you start the holes though, with a metal drill bit, then work the new holes with the jig?Quote:

Just finished painting my case black, now I'm gonna add some logos to it. Quake 3 logo on one side, not sure about the other yet.
I'm also installing (at least) one more case fan to blow out hot air in the rear of the case. There's no hole there originally, so I'll have to make one. I can't wait https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/08/2.gif
Prolly make a window in it too, but that'll have to with for now.
Oh, and I rounded my IDE and floppy cables... but that's not really case modding, is it https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/08/2.gif

Your not going to add any holes to the sides? Here's my plan: 1) Figure out how to work metal (never done that before)Quote:

2) Create five holes, two on each side, and one in front. If I can get the four on the metal sides going, I may add one of those massive "skylight" fans in the top of the case and an extra one in back.

i think the dremel is the most preferred tool for case modding, im planning to put in a blowhole and/or chimney fan, problem 120mm or 92mm

That's cool for me 'cause I have a dremel too. So I figure I'll use it to get a starter hole going, then attack that with a jig saw of some kind, then finnish the hole with the dremel again to smooth it out. I know I sound paranoid but I've never worked metal and I want to get it right.Quote:

I'll try the one in the back first, I'm sure I'll add more as I get more and more bored https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/08/2.gif

Well... I have a full tower. 1 exhaust & 1 intake on the bottom half, 1 intake on the upper half, and 1 exhaust on the top. I first drilled a pilot hole with a drill

I'm no latin scholor, to be sure, but I can usually get something out of vulgate, or common latin. But that, what the hell is that? I'm getting "Oh, the article is eternal, its spiritual until day (I don't know the word "fas"), Day <something, Day <something>, and the last line is completely uselss to me. A sacred object is "sacrum" in the vulgate, so I don't think its that, and have no clue what "solvet" or "favilla" is. Are you spelling those words sans ae ligature (the connected a and e)?Quote:

My dog peed on my case, and it gave it sort of a greenish look. It's a smash on LAN Parties.

I went the overkill route on my In-Win Q500 case. Got three intake and three blowholes. Mixed a custom color like what's going on the 79 Z28 I am restoring. To bad I can't shoehorn my 400 small block as a cooling fan. https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/06/5.gif

So are you saying you opened the holes in your case yourself? How did you do it?Quote:

Tools I used for the case mods drill, jigsaw and dremel. Good luck on the mods.

Forgot to add make sure you measure twice and cut once. I had to modify a cross brace once I did the fans on the side.
