Hurray for competition!

I think the Phenom IIs are starting to look much more attractive for gamers on a budget.

Duo Core is dying off and i7 is still way to expensive for those gaming on the cheap. I'm also a little worried that i7 won't be as upgrade friendly as previous systems.

I had a feeling the 920 was locked :mad::mad::mad:

Yeah I'm a little upset by that. I guess they don't people buying 920s and turning them into 940s.

got two 940's on the way, one from MWave the other from the Egg, both ordered same time, bet the Egg delivers first....

They ship out of the same warehouse in Diamond Bar - regardless of the New Egg, City of Industry address. Mwave and New Egg are two faces of the same company.

The Phenom IIs have a very attractive price point and the backwards compatibility for existing AM2+ board owners is a really nice feature. Looks like AMD has done well on this one.

maybe I should ask the MWave to refund the extra $2, LOL....still, a better chance at a steady, stable 4 gig on pelt chilled water with two to choose from, that is all I am shooting for....

it has to be a bin issue though. some people are only getting 3.7 with their i7 920's.
