hehehe, OK, I see....price is the sticky point, not the fact that many wanted the system, were not able to find one, and are POed beyond belief now that they can't get the PS2 yet? January through March should be a good time to get one, IMO....
And about that price:
Decent DVD Player = $150
Dreamcast console = $150
Total = $300
PS2 console = $300
Extra PS2 controller made by Pelican = $20
PS2 games on sale at Amazon = $45
(note, the game prices where on sale a few weeks before Christmas)
3 Million vs. 12-13 Million Polygons per second.....still 4x more for PS2...I didn't realize 66 Million was the raw polygon count, my bad.
Grand Turismo 3....delayed until March now
Metal Gear Solid 2...first game that will utilize "some" of PS2 potential
Time estimated until full potential of hardware recognized by software = approx. 3yrs.......(at least what I have read)
Patience is virtue.........
And no I'm not a Sony Hyper.....X-box is going to kick their a_ _ , PS2 is a filler system for me until the X-box arrives, plus I needed a non-PC DVD player...;]
Why is X-box going to kick ***? I am just curious about a company that is developing its first system. Especially a company with such a good track record for keeping things on schedule.
