I can't think of any series that has changed the whole genera of a game mid way through.. they want to make it an rps game and have just a few units. Have you played shogun? now thats units. how cool would it be to command and army and actually feel like you were waging war? 2 i did expect some look and feel like the previous games but on a 3d basis, ground control for example or earth 2150. well ok maybe not 2150 but stil you get the idea about the 3d and terrain and units. From what i've seen so far they are still trying to hang on to their total flop of warcraft adventures game that was never gonna make it. The characters do not even look intimidating, much less like warriors. The cartoony thing they are trying to pull of, maybe they have their reasons, but to me it just doesn't cut it. True if you added 10000 units or just didnt have a limit and based it soley on computer power the lower end of the computer market would not be able to get 100fps. But why not come out and say hey this requires a 1.2ghz with 256mb ram and 1gb hard drive space. We are gonna have to get there eventually and why cant warcraft just step up take a chance and sell to the future. If it required me buying a new computer to play a game like that I'd gladly upgrade or whatever it took. Game makers are trying to supply to too broad a range of computers. Granted i wish all would add Linux and other OS's in their programing, but component wise they are living in the past. What is it like every 8 months or something speed doubles? Why cant requirements move at least on a 12 month basis? Anyway I'm not gonna bicker over it, it may be next year before the game even comes out, but so far it just doesnt look like what I've expected
Dude, have faith in Blizzard. They will create a game that once you play, you won't put it down for 3 years. Promise.
