You should have added a Maybe option :p because it all depends alot on the price. I wont pay $20 for a game that is based off the Quake I engine. :)

Two words...."Riot Shield"

The Rocket Launcher will ruin the game though even if it has just one round.

It's not. Valve canned the Quake engine and developed their own. That's why it was so late.

Yes, I will buy it. The riot shield looks like a blast. The rocket launcher.... we will see.

its built off of quake 1, heavily modified to be sure but still quake 1

Thank you for the back up on that one. It is a heavily modified Quake I engine (HL is) and many thought it was based off Quake II but it wasn't and the folks @ GameSpy can prove that for you. Also nothing is different in CS:CZ its still based off the Heavily Modified Quake I engine (HL) but with added polys thanks to the Det pack. Some nice particle effects but nothing much else its still gonna look bland.

Valve is building there own Engine for Team Fortress 2: Brotherhood of Arms, Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike 2 (CS:CZ is supposed to create the storyline for CS2).

I might get it...depends....I voted yes...because it'll probably be pretty cool....as long as there aren't many cheaters...and if it's contains the core of counter-strike...it'll be pretty good...

I am an avid fan aswell but I really DONT recommend buying Counter-Strike: Condition Zero until the 1.1.0.9 patch comes out so we can see how good this new "Steam" anti-cheat thing works. If it doesn't work well after like a month of the patches release then it would be pointless wasting $20 for the game only to hang it up on the wall as yet another classic gone bad. I recommend that to everyone. If the cheating is really bad...just warez the game and teach Valve a marketing lesson. Dont screw your customers just because they made you rich and kept your name and game going for 4 years +.

Not for awhile...probably Aprilish. CS 1.4 (Final not beta) and HL 1.1.0.9 patches still need to come out. They are do out 2-3 weeks before CS:CZ ships.

Well i checked ebgames.com and I know they are not the most accurate with release dates. EB says condition zero is to be released in August. It cant be that far off can it?

I had heard earlier that it was to be released in april as well but havent really heard anything about it in a while. If it is august then its gonna be a while. Got a snickers bar?
