I own GP3 and F1 2001. If you look at High Gear Forums then you can see that F1 2001 is already modded to the 2002 season (And they are very good mods, i've used some). However EA seem to be intent on making the steering like a go-cart on ice (for those who have never been in a cart it's pretty easy to spin on dry track) while using a keyboard. I'd love to get both but will probably get Grand Prix 4 as the handling is somewhat easier on a keyboard. If I end up buying a wheel though i'll probably go the EA road again though... :)
Definatly both ,cuz I cant choose beetween one :)
Yeah, I played GP3 mostly with keyboard and F1 2001 as well, but after I got a steering wheel I've only tried the first of the two mentioned above. And it's like starting from scratch! Before I were good and competed on one of the higher skill levels, now it's hard to keep the car on the track for a some laps! Guess I need practice.Quote:

I would have to say both because I own Grand Prix 3 also and F1 2001 was awesome and F1 2002 looks even sweeter! I am still a papyrus fan though :\
Definetly Grand Prix 4, no doubt. I am a formula 1 fanatic, and I must say that only georf crammonds gp4 can show what f1 is really about.
Word. Crammond's game has a unique feel driving the car that other games can't reach, IMO.Quote:

agreed, plus you can only DL at like 3-5 Kb/s with that BS, and the majority of the crap there is a virus or broken file. If you're goin to get "warez" you may as we'll get quality warez bro.Quote:

Please let my topic stay on topic people.
Thanks!
I won't get any of those games. I hate F1 racing.
None, i don't like racing games. Get GTA3 and destroy your comptetition :D
Definitely GP4. I have GP3 and it rocks. It was a massive step up from GP2, and if GP4 makes half the step it will go off.
Well, if you guys haven't checked out F1 Racing Championship by Ubisoft, I recommend you do that now! It totally 0wnZZ. Amazing sounds, gameplay, light on the system even with 20 - 22 cars running all around you, total adrenaline rush.
A little bit off- topic, but since I saw your location, I had to ask: Have you been to an F1 Grand Prix at the Albert Park, if you're interested in F1 that is or maybe you just like F1 PC games?Quote:

I'm a big fan of F1 and my favorite team is Ferrari. I try to watch every GP on the TV and I read alot about the sport on the internet. I really want to go to a GP since, just like you say, it must be an amazing thing. Where you at this year's GP?Quote:

Probably neither but maybe EA-F12002. I didn´t like GF3 at all (not really good AI) and F1-2001 still felt abit arcade to me. More than that the speed and tracks are far from real.
But then again maybe one of them will surprise me. They have to be pritty good to beat GPL though.
yup im not a big fan of f1 games eitherQuote:

Ewww F1 Games :p
Judging from the poll, it seems like the members of SF isn't that much into F1 games. Well, I see my mission here. ;)
It's a good game (Found a beaten up copy from a shop so got it for £10 :D), the tracks are definitely more realistic (no more charging through Eau Rouge for this racer!) but I found at times the AI would smash into me, other than that it was a top class game. Monaco Racing Simulator 2 was good as well, I loved the career mode on that (though there was NO grip what so ever when turning ;)).Quote:

Have you downloaded the unofficial texture pacl for F1 racing championship? It updates sounds and textures (it might to AI as well), I used the 2001 patch last year and it gave another lease of life into the game (I like to race in the current season). :)
Schumacher is going to win the San Marino GP!
