What type of keyboard do you use?
1. Mechanical
2. Rubber dome
3. Foam
Mechanical keyboards tend to be stiffer than others, have make some sort of clickey noise when you hit a key. Rubber dome have a small dome that is collapsed when you press the key, they feel stiff at the beginning of a stroke but then give up. Foam have bit of foam on the bottom of the key and feel spongy or springy.
(ps: I've never tried posting a poll before, let's see if it's idiot-proof :D)
The one I am using right now is mechanical, but my other one is rubber domed :)

How many of you guys use ergonomic keyboards?
Rubber dome for me. And I know this for certain because I got bored and disassembled my keyboard one day... it turned out being a pain in my arse cause a bunch of those freakin rubber domes fell out and stuff. It took me like 3 times as long to re-assemble it as I had predicted.

It's a MS Internet Keyb if that helps.
I actually popped a key off my keyboard just to take a look underneath. There was a rubber washer so I voted rubber dome. Most keyboards are if you didn't know

i have a mechanical keyboard.
it is very old came with a zeos machine i had about ten years ago.

I have a couple rubber domes and an OLD 486 Dell keyboard that is mechanical. Heehee! Clickie click!
Mechanical. I wish Microsoft made ultra quiet Natural Pro Keyboards. :(

I'm using a M$ Natural Pro now, but I miss my old IBM "clickety" keyboard-the one with the metal shell that weighs about 10 pounds!

IBM type "m" (i think) tactile keyboard.. got 4... the only other i would own is a $$$ northgate omnikey $$$...
im not a typist so the noise doesnt bother me and these things are almost indestructible..(great for kids and exiteable adults)
they also stay crunchy in milk..
Nope, if it was rubberized, it'd be ultra silent like those Gateway keyboards but it isn't. :(Quote:

Ihave rubber but I miss the old school mechanical ones I love that large clicking sound, I love to use them in libraries.
