It finally arrived today and it's seems pretty good. I'mm been running hotcpu on it for 3hrs with another 3 to go @ 2-2-2-5-1 using only 2.7v. It may do it at standard voltage but i haven't tryed that yet.
Once it's finished burning in i'll report back on what it can do :D
BTW, I am in need of a site to post my piccy's up on, could anyone ponit me in the right direction :) ?

Fats...what dividers are you running that ram on? My only experience with Mushkin was terrible at best (PC2700) and If they're worth taking a look at again, I'd like to know.Quote:

As to your screenies...doesn't your ISP provide you with a personal webpage where you can host them? Most people forget about this he he ;)
I'm in the same boat as KJY, I'm anxious to hear your results. If you don't do too well, I'll be getting the new Corsair XMS Platinum PC3000 Cas2 and be buying another set of active ramsinks for it...

My expierence with mushkin is not very good, i had 4 different 512 meg 2700 DDR sticks not one of them could OC worth crap, got my Corsair 3200 XMS and it has been upto 424 MHZ and my vid card fried when i went higher, lol poor G4 4600 started getting lines all over the screen. Anyway good luck with the ram.

OIC,so when you say your "adding another set " of "active ramsinks " you are actually just pointing a couple fans at your ram. Or is there more involved?

As for the ram it looks like it's going to max out 205 2-2-2-6- :(
I'm using 2 sticks btw.
I'm currently running hotcpu @ 210 2-2-2-7-2, it's crashed once at this speed so i expect the same again. Once it does i'll email off my benches for CL2 and go for CL3.
For the record my corsair can do 205 CL2 @ 2.9v, they are neck and neck atm. I'll try one stick configs and just shoot for max FSB. I think it should hit DDR 450-455 @ CL3.
I'd say get Corsair Rev2 or wait for Sammy 400, it's just better than my Rev 1, this stuff is not as good as some sites have claimed.
I got a 512Mb stick of the rev 1.2 corsair pc3000...will see how it does today when the new mobo and 2.26 come in ;)Quote:

What mobo are you using (IT 7 ) ? I also suspect you're using all the "appropriatte parts" i.e. ALpha PAL8492 ?
Go for 3ghz man alot of those seem to be hitting that and some on low Vcore too (1.65 :eek:). Whatever you do if you haven't heard already dont set your Vcore past 1.75V , any higher and you risking the life of your Northwood.

He He...what's to expand? At 1.65 I can still keep it under 95F @ Idle...cool and quiet. My 2.0 does 2540 at 1.6Vcore...it'll do [email protected] the temps go up to 115f @ idle. ;)Quote:

I've heard good things about Mushkin although they were mainly concerning their High Perf. 2-2-2 PC2100. That stuff is known to go to 180's at 2-2-2 and 200mhz at 2.5 or so. Pretty impressive for PC2100.

It's won't do 166 no matter what voltages I throw at it. On both the same mobos I can hit 200 with my 256Mb sammy pc2700.
This stick is going back and I'll give a 512Mb stick of mushkin PC3000 a try..they have free shipping. :(

It passed HotCPU at CL2 at 200 but it kept crashing in games. The best this will do atm is DDR450 @ CL2.5, but it couldn't do this yesterday so it's burning in well. I'm Hoping it will go higher after a week or so. Edit: This is stable
