Finally got some pics of my case

I finally took some pictures of my case for the contest. It's not done, but SVC is doing a pretty good job of not getting the stuff I want in stock. I am going to sleeve my PSU cables blue with blue heatshrink. I am also going to add a blue CCFL, and then get some UV cabes and move the UV CCFL so the blue CC doesn't drown it out. Then I'll get another quad LED fan for the rear exhaust and finally in a very long time I'll probably go watercooling.

That looks really nice. Mine sorta looks like that, except it is a lian-li. Did you previously work for the NSA, or do you just like the organization.

It looks like you could use another cc. I have two, one on the bottom and one standing vertically on the rear of the case. Another cc will definetly brighten the case up.

Used to? Lol, I haven't even graduated from college yet. I'd like to work for the NSA. I guess I respect the amount of computing power that they probably have. They definitely have to have the most powerful computer in the world.

I can definitely use another CC...it's coming with my next order from SVC. I can't justify paying shipping on one item and then buying more later...I like to buy a bunch of stuff at once.

They don't have the most powerful computer. They probably just have a whole bunch of office computers. As i remember, the most powerful computer is the NEC super computer. It predicts weather.

You mean the one in Japan? Yea, I've heard of that one. My bet is the NSA has a nice big computer in the basement of their building that nobody really knows much about.

....and it was probably built and is operated by people not yet out of college.;)

BTW. nice job on the rig. I like the applique. If you only had one of those little 1 X 1 badges on the front that said "big brother inside", like the old intel logo.:D

I like the NSA touch on the window.. :) Now build one for the FBI :P

Yea, I'm with you on this one. I know the top 500 supercomputer list does include government rigs (if you can even call a supercomputer a rig :p ). However, I think there is a lot of crap that goes on behind closed doors that isn't made public, who knows they might have some 10GHz Intel CPU's running inside every "office" computer ;) In any case, nice pics I like the applique, but its pretty big!! Can you see through it close up?? It sure does hog a lot of window space, but it is definitely something unique, I like :)

Yea, but if they did have a nice fast computer it wouldn't be an Intel. Intel doesn't make the most amazing processors, they just make the best mass marketed processors (well Intel and AMD do...depends on your opinion).

You can see through it pretty well. There's really not much to see inside a computer anyways. I made sure to put it a little to the right so that you can see the HSF and the back fan (for when I get an LED fan).

I couldn't help but notice the baseboard heater in the background. It doesn't work, I hope...:eek:

Also, nice OC you got there. What kind of temps you got?

Nice modding you got there! :)

I think you should light up the case a bit and show off the nice HSF you have.

Heh yea, Taz noticed that the first time I posted my old case like 6 months ago. Unfortunately I live in NY where it gets so cold and my heater doesn't work. The good thing is that I am on the top floor and I think I absorb some heat from the room below and plus my computer makes so much heat it's a heater itself :D

My temps get up to about 55C at load and Idle around 34. My case temp is also around 34C. That's pretty hot, but I don't mind. The proc will survive.

Yeah I'm aware of that, I just meant the "office computers" as in the the one's that the secretaries or whoever uses. Basically the ones that don't need to do any serious work, just there for runnin OfficeXP ;) I'm sure they have the latest desktop solutions that aren't even out yet, while the supercomputer probably has like 9,000,000 Power3's or something. :eek:

I can tell you for a fact that the Normal Federal Government Employee's Desktop Puter is a year or two behind whats current & Software is always behind. We just went from NT4.0 to WIN2000Pro, & Office 2000. There are many systems still running older software.
Example: My Desktop Puter 2 years ago was a 233mhz IBM, I finally got a DELL 800MHZ. There are now New Nice Black Dell's 1.5ghz incoming with FlatScreens. I will most likely get one next year. You have to remember that My Agency has over 15,000 employee's. Most Employee's have 2 Systems on their Desktop. Some have more, some have Very High End Systems. The Normal Average Worker, gets crap.. NSA is no exception to this rule. You wonder why DELL has been doing so good these last few years. When I first started we all had MACS, then went to IBM's, then a few COMPAQ's, now all DELLS.

Apparently they are "restoring" my account. That's just what the UV cold cathode looks like. It makes everything blue-ish (apparently my lowest rounded cable is UV sensitive and I didn't know it until I turned on the CC) except a few parts of the aluminum look purple-ish. Overall it's a damn nice effect and I would like to get more CC's.

Yes, you would be suprised what things are uv reactive. I know anything copper will show up as purple.

I take it you don't like Intel? I was reading about there new 875P motherboard codenamed "centerwood" which will be the first to feature a 800mhz Front side bus. The fisrt Cpu to use the 800 bus will be the 3gigPentium4C. The 875p will be the first to support the ICH5 southbridge,which brings native serial ATA and RAIDsupport. The board supportS the new Dual-Channel DDR 400 RAM which allows the 800mHZ bus speeds. I Like Pentium 4 and AMD equal,but I woulden't count Intel Out sure there great at Marketing,but there still one of the best.

Actually I like Intel more than AMD. I was just saying that there are faster processors output wise. Mostly Crays and the like, aka computers that cost more than what everyone on these forums makes in a year combined.
