Is there something out there that fits easily to the brackets on the IC7 that will cool the North Bride well?

crystal orbs are usually the weapon of choice...unless you want something a little more extreme. though its not really needed.
Is it quiet and is there a lot of modding to mount it?Quote:

Corbs are NOT quiet. I'd get a Zalman NB32J. It's a passive HS, nice and big. It'll provide all the cooling you need.
Yeah the zalman passive nb heatsinks are great.
How loud is that thermaltake?
Not loud at all.:)Quote:

But loud is relative, I can't hear it at all over my Dual Tornados 80mm set all the way on low with my Nexus.:)
i use the vantec iceburg on mine and i like it.and it looks cool too:D
I might have to check it out then.:)Quote:

How loud is the iceburg? And is it relatively easy to put on an Epox 8RDA+?Quote:

OMG! Vertices I didn't know you crossed over to the dark side and got a nexus fan controller! So they brainwashed you too! Dammit we are losing them day by day. That just means that Me and XP18004LIFE have to work harder to convert you all to sunbeam fanboys. It's not gonna be easy but nothing in life is.:D
My Abit board comes with s a NB cooler fan identical to the iceberq. Its ok I guess. The hs part is a little bit wimpy, I think. The Zalman passive hs looks nice, and that TT looks serious!
Ha, nothing is easy. Tell that to the Vantec boys. Us 'Beam boys, on the other hand, have it nice and easy with our beloved Sunbeam's!Quote:

Do the sunbeams regulate voltage by pulse regulation like the Nexus?
If they don't I would never even think of using one of those. Especially since I think the Nexus is much more sexy.:D
I had just bought a PC Mods Rheo for like $50 with knobs right before the Nexus came out. Then I spent more money on the Nexus to replace the PC Mods Rheo just cause I liked it much better.:)
I highly doubt I will switch again. The Nexus kicks some serious azz.:D
Don't try to confuse us with your big fancy words.:DQuote:

LOL!!:) That cracked me up!:)Quote:

Well, there are 2 ways to regulate fan speed. You can either reduce the voltage (most rheos) or "pulse" the same voltage. All "pulses" are 12volt pulses. Less pulses per second = slower fan speed. More pulses per second = faster fan speed.
The reason I like the Nexus compared to other Rheos is the pulse regulation. For instance, with my PC Mods Rheo which simply increaases resistance lowering the voltage to the fan, if I turned on my PC with the fans turned all the way down, there was not enough voltage going to the Tornados to get them going. You had to turn it up to get it going and then turn it back down. Kind of like "kickstarting" the fans.
However, since the Nexus "pulses" 12 volts, instead of regulating the voltage down, the first pulse of 12volts will start any 12volt fan regardless of startup voltage requirements of the fan.
:):):)
I bet you feel smart now!j/k :D I don't believe it has pulse regulation. Who needs it anyway.:DQuote:

*edit* Does your nexus fan thingy have LEDS that you can see all the way in your kitchen down the hall? I thought not!;) :D
Yeah I know, who needs pulse schmulse when you have the power of God behind your fan controller!Quote:

The pulse regulation is very important to me believe it or not.:) I hate having to "kickstart" my tornados.Quote:

I don't need LEDs that bright on my fan controller. My whole case is so bright it lights up everything.
2 Cold Cathodes inside
1 Neon vertically in front
2 Super Bright LEDs for power and drive activity
The Nexus
Modded Digidoc to blue
Check the pics in my sig.:) It's a bright case as it is.:)
Nexus > Sunbeam :D
No! Never! I wouldn't say it if my life depended on it!(Well maybe, lol):DQuote:

I'd rather the power of pulse.:D
