Anyone tried it yet?? Thinking of getting 2x256MB for my NF7-S, only $57 each.

i was looking at that, too, but it's CAS-3. would like to hear some reports on how good it is.

215FSB at agressive timings is OK with me for that price.
i just received mine today and will be testing it this week(get mobo tomorrow)...i'll be posting results when i get some:D
I just ordered (2) 512mb sticks of the Buffalo pc3700, and am also hoping it works as well as people are claiming.
Me too! :)
The reviews for it on newegg are kind of a mixed bag. :(
great stuff...
tested 2GB (4 512MB sticks) and they did 216 FSB most aggressive timings, great stuff.
Heres a Review DDR-400 Dual Channel Memory Roundup. They included some Buffalo PC3700 and sure enough it ran agressive timings and held its own against the big brand names. I was impressed
so I ordered two sticks of it too!

For those that have bought some of the RAM, but don't have your specs listed, what mobo are you using??
I'm upgrading my NF7-S & 2100+ @2.25G (167x13.5), currently running 256MB Samsung PC2700 sotck as it won't OC. The Samsung is going in the 8RGA+ & 1700+ I'm ordering soon for my 2nd rig.

also, I was testing them on the ABIT IC7-G, great board too.

Seems a bit confusing. While its o/c values were very good, its perf
at a given clock speed (400) fell somewhat behind. The other link
in these posts gave it a very good rating....esp. for the $$$$.
Mabe I'd like to see more data from Sharky users - not only FSB but
benches.....

the 9500Pro, though..
Benches?? I don' need no stinkin' benches!!!
Thx.....now I gotta figure where to spend my $$$...Guitar Center in my area
has a Demo/Clearance sale.....talk about a fool and his $$...
hmmm, I'd go for the clearance first, and see what you've got left. The RAM isn't on sale, it's just that cheap, and I think it'll be like that for a little while. The Buffalo RAM only jumped a buck (from 98 to 99) in the past month or so. :D :pQuote:

How's your Ocing luck been?? I had it 2x256MB at 210, 2.7V "Optimal" but it wasn't fully stable. Am back down to 200 at "Optimal" (if you can call 8-4-4-3 optimal) timings. One stick died already. Am almost hoping the other one goes too so I can RMA both and get some Mushkin instead.
GO for the Guitar:cool: ...Just bought a black Strat myself...but to keep on topic...I've seen mixed reviews alsoQuote:

2-2-2-5 timings. These are BH-5 Winbond Chips on them. I'm at my chipsets limit now till I do a Vdd Mod and add a larger cooler to the northbridge.

As mentioned above, it's just BH-5 chips sold in a package that claims they will run at 3700 speeds. I would suggest you buy BH-5 400MHz memory, save yourself some money and just run it at the PC3700 speed (I HIGHLY doubt you'll have any difficult doing this)
Peace
Yea, I agree. This is good RAM, and usually if someone who knows how to OC puts their hands on it, it is doing into the 230's range.Quote:

before my mobo bios bad flash, I had mine at 205 tight timmings and 2.7Vdimm. So probaly with 2.9 they could hit 220-225:)
