Out of those two, I would go with the ASUS, if you do be sure to get a rev. 2.0 it is more future proof.
Between the two choices available definitely the Asus.
Agreed!Quote:

Will an SK-7 even fit on the Gigabyte?
Other than that, the Gigabyte has a better board layout and is a fair amount less money.:)
I followed your link in my post to here... I think it's fair if I do the same:
My post: http://www.sharkyforums.com/showthre...hreadid=200780
However... to add to your page of help... I've been looking here at just a ton of reviews for the Gigabyte boards you're looking at:
http://www.nforcershq.com/modules.ph...s&new_topic=36
Good luck.... I'm not sure which to go with...
all I know for sure is that it will be one of these 3:
Asus A7N8X Deluxe v2.0
Gigabyte GA-7NNXP
Gigabyte GA-7N400
Why not the 8rda+ for $83 shipped at Newegg?:confused:Quote:

Features.
I like features.
I'd be for sure getting that sweet Gigabyte board... but I don't know about they're quality... or which of the boards will OC better. Once I know that, I'll know what board I'm getting.
Please check out my other post. :)
I probably wont be OC it. I will be going for the Dual DDR. What extra features does the Gigabyte have over the asus. And im talking about the Gigabyte pro not the XP
The Gigabyte is like 115 and hte asus is like 130 so not that big of a price difference.
VERY pleased with my Asus;)
I think this has some info for ya.

There is a comparison of the Asus and the Gigabyte on Tomshardware. They recommended the Gigabyte. Anyone know of any other "side by Side" comparisons?
I'd go for the 7N400 Pro. In fact, I'll be picking one up soon (once I can get up the nerve to part with my hard-earned green). I particularly like the extra IDE channels and dual BIOS.
Haven't you noticed by now that THG always recommends Giga-Bite?Quote:

hmmm, I wonder why? No! Don't say it! Don't even think it!!
Could it be cuz they PAY him? Naaaah....
There are other sites that speak very highly of Gigabyte's nForce2 boards. My opinion of THG is probably as negative as yours, but that doesn't mean Gigabyte's products should be discounted as viable options.
I think I'm leaning toward the GigaByte Ga-7n400 pro, seems to have the same features as the Asus and its a bit cheaper.
Guess (my customers) have had too many of them fail...:(Quote:

I don't use them anymore, with Abit & Asus I don't have to worry about customer service issues. They just don't break.
From my personal experience to you:
GA-7N400 pro
xp1700 dut3c at 11x200-2205
2 256 corsair xms 3200 at 11 2 2 2
slots 1&3 dual channell
Ive been doing this for awhile and with this one I found no
setup or config issues with the combination of components,
When giga releases an official udated bios that includes 11.5-
12.5 multi then I will attempt to o/c more. Right now this board
Is so solid, runs all day nothing fails, couldnt be happier with
my purchase.
