I went out and got Undying, and i must say i have not been this impressed nor this frightned for quite a while. The first five minutes are more scary then almost all Resident Evil games combined.

Nice game, the fact that there are about eleventy billion loadzones on every single map is a bit annoying though.
I like it when I can can through a house without having to load every two rooms.
I really did like Undying :)
I am suprised you waited so long.. It has been out for ages now :)
Is it similar to Resident Evil where you just run around and shoot undead? Those are the kind of games that I am looking for, ones that will scare and are not very complicated. I just bought system shock 2 but haven't really had a chance to play it much.
Resident Evil ain't got nothing on SS2.Quote:

Resident Evil is for kiddies who replies solely on consoles.
Therefore, you can't make them play a super-sophisticated and scary game like SS2.
You know I didnt find SS2 very scary nor was it that fun for me.. I usually like those kinds of games...Quote:

While SS2 has its share os spooks, most of them are based on the element of timing and the such. Undying however approaches Silent Hill in the way the game really gets under your skin.Quote:

I haven't tried SS2 or Undying, but the scariest game I've played is Alien VS Predator 2. I'm playing as a Marine currently, and I just don't want to jump down into that dark hole leading to the Hive. LOL!
AvP 2 also relies on the element of surprise however. Sure, Walking in a dark corridor only to get your face devoured by an alien that jumped out of nowhere will make you jump, but walking towards a door while hearing increasingly louder hesterical laughter is another matter entirely.
Soldier I know you recommend both Silent Hill and now Undying for a real scare factor but I am wondering what kind of games these are. I like to play simple games that involve mostly completing levels by killing things and are not too complicated. I am not into developing characters like rpgs or anything. Think I would like either of these games?
Undying is a first person shooter, there arent any undead but there are creatures you cant really describe. And the voices...oh god the voices.
Silent hill is kind of like Resident Evil in format, with less shooting and more exploring, and it also has some really disturbing stuff that will haunt you for a while.
when did this game come out?
Undying is fps eh? I think I will check it out. As for Silent Hill, I may try it in the future but right now I have very little time for gaming. Vice City takes up most of my precious gaming time as it is and I just bought SS2 so that will take up more time.
Who here actually beat undying?
A while ago. Its using a modified Quake II engine, but it looks quite good.Quote:
