Yes you heard me right  I could not believe my eyes! before it was 75c core and like 56c surface at 2.14GHz on 1.75v, now with the slk-800 and ventek tornado fan core is 43c and surface is 36c!!!!!!!!!!!! This is crazy!!!!!!!!!!! I raised the voltage to 1.9 and the temp went up like 4c on the core!!!!!!!!!! with the old heatsink going from 1.6 to 1.75v made it go up by 12 to 15c!!!!!!! I tried 1.9v once at 2.23GHz and it crashed after a few seconds of 3dmark so I reboot and see the core temps at 95c  with this monster slk-800 plus fan, it is nearly 40c cooler!!!!!!!!!!!! The difference isnt as great when stock, like 15c cooler since you cant make it as cold as my room and its running pretty close to room temp anyway, cant get lower on air, but when I jack the MHz and voltage, it is *still* cooler than my old heatsink at *stock* voltage and 2GHz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes this is insane! an oced rig cooler than a stock rig! at max oc and max volt, my temps were only 45-47c surface and 60-62c core which is very acceptable considering how far my cpu overclocked, I am gonna make you guess what GHz I ramped it up to and what 3dmark I got to with the ti4200 at 300/590
Guess what GHz I got. with old cooler, 2.09 was my max
guess what 3dmarks, before I hardly broke 14k and that was with 310 on the core, core is 300 now for stability.
I shall reveal the answer later, but anyway I never imagined high end cooling could both cool so much and give me *that* overclock. Heres a hint: I am pleasently supprised how far my xp2000 did, so to you guys saying I shoulda gotten an xp1700 or xp2100 instead.......no loss! the xp2100 cost quite a bit more when I bought the xp2000 at the computer show, why pay more? Bldegle2 appearently doesnt like me and wishes I was gone, but perhaps he can smile that I finally got righteous cooling :)
