im about to go head first back into the console market, and im up in the air about what to buy.
Im between a ps2, and a gamecube.
Ps2 - because of Castlevania game, which really looks amazing
Gamecube - because of zelda and metroid.
I don't spend alot on games, so the ones i do buy have to be amazing.
Your thoughts?
PS2...I just dont like GC
I also like PS2. It's my favourite console. And there are far more interesting games for PS2 than GC. At least in my opinion.
Get the one with more games that you want to play. If you don't have a DVD player, that can help the PS2 out.

I own a cube and have no regrets. Just get the one that has the most games that you really want to play. I only need my cube for NCAA Football 2004 so I went with the cheapest console out there. I read somewhere that the GC would be going down to $99 but I'm not sure when.
The GC is worth it for Link thrusting his sword into Ganondorf's skull and Zelda's revivial alone. If you have ever played ANY Zelda game, you must play the Wind Waker, it ties everything up, there are MANY plot twists and suprises, and the cell-shading simply ROCKs in many forsted areas (oh yeah, the gameplay is good too :P). There are many quality games on the GC.

If you don't wanna spend too much, the price you pay for a GC with 2 games is the same as a PS2 with one, so its up to you. Are they still offering that free game with purchase?
I would get the PS2. It has more real games for it...and not such kiddie ones. ;)

Fzero is just going to rock the planet and Soul Calibur 2 with link is too cool.
Plus Viewtiful Joe and Prime, Zelda...blah blah blah.
Wait till the end of september when the GC drops down to $99.

i originally got the PS2 cause of FFX and now FF-X2.. now Square jumped ship and is making Crystal Chronicles for gamecube only... so im gonna have to get a gamecube too.. D@MN YOU SQUARE! and i also got my GBA just for FF tactics advance.. but i need to get rid of it so i can get the SP version
