is that ALL you care about???
I refuse to vote.
I'm not going ATi again, so I don't care about Radeon 9900 one bit, lol.
Ignitionator, come on man, he's just discussing, that's what this forum is for. Don't let bitterness cloud your mind. He has every right to wonder and converse with us about the upcoming video cards, what else is this for?

where did I say that? and if you dont like ati's cards, dont buy one. we both have excellent ti4200s and I dont plan to upgrade mine for a while. damn I am 60 marks from eating you, dammnit :(
What might get you those 60 marks, if you don't do it already, is try ending Explorer.exe when you run 3DMark, gave me a few extra, might be your ticket. :)Quote:

Didnt even put 5900Us in your poll =( Id bet their prices will drop nicely as well or will just drop slowely from not until/past then. I definitely dont plan on getting an ATI card but I luv competition :D maybe nvidia will get hot and heated, throw out another 5800 type card, and drop the prices of the 5900Us way down :D
I wouldn't buy a card just because another one comes out. I'll buy a new card when my current one doesn't cut it. So for now, my 4600 is fast enough. Maybe a $200 9800 is in my future.
thats the way to go sir i went from a 4200 to a 9800np and its nice cuase i can run pretty aa and af settings :pQuote:

No 9600 pro option...
I quite fancy having a play with Tyan's 9600 pro, just waiting to see what happens on the AIW front.
John
If the 9900 pro really has a big advantage over the 9800 pro and it's a really noticeable difference (say 30 fps or more in ut2k3), I may very well sell my 9800 pro to someone, and buy a 9900 pro
I hate to say this dude, but ut2003 and any game based on the unreal(2) engine is highly cpu intensive just like car chase high details is. you might gain a few more fps at 1600x1200 with max aa/af otherwise a ti4200 is more than enough. I dont know or care who believes me, but I could do 1600x1200 easy in ut2003 and that was with a slower pally. was getting in the 30s fps, now I should be in the 50s :)
Yea I noticed a big difference in UT2K3 when I overclocked.
yeah somthin just doesnt sound right there...sounds kind'a kinkyQuote:

i have a GF3 atm and its geting a bit long in the tooth, i've seen 9800 amateurs for £223.00 on dabs.co.uk which looks pretty tempting. :D but i'll wait till the NV38 R9900 come out and the 5900SE is available in order that my expenditure on graphics cards is sub £200.00.
saying that, if i win any of the first three prizes in this comp i won't need buy a new card, 9800Pro 9700Pro and 9500Pro will se me nicely! :D
