Sweet!
I will let you guys be the guinea pigs. :)
More performance for HL2! 3dmark03 scores should go up also with DX9 hardware. I wonder if this will be the last update before HL2 comes out?Quote:
Pixel Shader processing has been enhanced across all of our DX9 products. As a result, certain PS 2.0 ShaderMark tests are now running as much as 12% faster.
Yeah I just downloaded them and they don't work at all! What the hell is wrong here, these drivers suck!
Lol, ;)
Did you see the update for ut2k3 as well? 23% increase!
Lol! A radeon 7000 at 1600x1200 will now play at 5 fps, not 4!Quote:
RADEON 7000 gains as much as 25% in Direct3D titles when running at very high resolution (1600x1200). Aquamark, Comanche 4, Dungeon Siege, Expendable, Giants and Re-Volt all gain approximately 20% at this setting. OpenGL titles are not affected.
I took a quick look over at Rage3D......nothing concrete stated yet....
ohhh... New CATS to play with!!!!
I wonder if these CATS would do better then the Omega drivers I used for benchmarking before???? :) :)
Well, I for one will soon find out.....maybe it'll get me over that magic 20K 3DMark (Yeah, right.....from 17.6...hehheheh)Quote:

From CATALYST makers post over at Rage3d forums:
I wonder what he means by that. Now they make me wait....Quote:
ps. CAT 3.8 the biggest most innovative driver posting ever!
I think I'll try them out later today... I'll do some benches too. GOD! I haven't run any benchmarks on my computer for sooooo long. Maybe that's a good thing...
Any ETA?Quote:

The catalyst drivers are on a 6 week cycle so late next month I hope. I wish I was a beta tester...Quote:

I'm glad I'm not, they have enough problems with public drivers. :p Lord knows what kind of issues the betas have, hehe.Quote:

I have been using the Beta 3.7's for about a week now and they don't seem to be anything to right home about. I am waiting for the 3.8's. From what everybody says those are supposed to be some very impressive drivers as far as performance is concerned.
Haven't tried any benchmarks or games, but it did get rid of a flicker problem I had on any resolution over 60hz.
they seem alright...LotR still crashes for me..haven't done benchies or anything...but no probs so far...
