Isn't the R9000 faster then the R9200?Quote:

This makes me a little sad........theres more radeon9600 pros than ti4200s on ebay now! are people deciding not to sell off their ti4200s but hold onto them? would ti4200 prices drop to $30 soon enough or will demand keep em around $70?
kill myself
seriously.. why not a radeon 9100 or gf 4200
If those are the only two, I would choose the fx5200. It faster then the R9000.

But, in reality I would not consider the two, I'll look in the the TI lines if I want a budget card, the ti4200 is good, the ti4400 is even better many people set it to the same spec as the ti4600 with no problem at all.
Come across this intersting post. Very helpfull to people who's looking for a new card.

Yep, although the 9200 is an agpx8 version of the 9000, the 9200 tends to have lower clockspeeds. The 9100 (rebadged 8500LE with an extra texturing unit per pipeline) is the fastest of the Radeon budget cards (9000/9100/9200)Quote:

Also you do know there is a simple reason if you know economics :D The 4200 are in not being produced in a large volume anymore.. But the 9600Pro is a current board from ATI.. Which is.. So obviously there would be more 9600 then 4200 on ebay :)
Another vote for the 5200, being the better of those two VC`s.
My vote goes 5200 too. They're both bottom feeders, he might as well take the one with DX9'ish capability.Quote:

Also, if your friend has both of these cards, why not just sell them both and pick up something good? :D
I finished reading some reviews on 3 difference sites that benchmarked different cards and had the 5200 and 9000 in the list.. The 5200 was faster in most if not all the benchmarks.. Also the 5200 was faster with AA/AF then the 9000.. Most of the time the 9000 wouldnt even complete a benchmark with 4x AA/AF...
5200 Gets my vote!
The problem is i can see nowhere the GeforceFX.The radeon 9000 is the pro version not the regular that am looking for ;)Quote:

I know 5200 is faster, but take a look @ the vote 9000 gets 11 votes and 5200 gets less....
Who vote for 9000 anyways?
Compute Maniac :)
