what's so good about it?
Is able to play .mpc, .ape, and a host of other audio formats right out of the box. It's "supposed" to sound better than winamp. Ask XP18004life about it, he loves it. j/k;)
in homer simpson's voice: "maybe i will, maybe i will."
I'm actually gonna give it a good try. I'll download it and start to build up an acceptable playlist. In the meantime I'll still use Winamp.
Hear that Soup? I'm gonna give it a try!
WOOT!:D
Is there any way to make Foobar prettier? I want like a window shade mode, and a different color text for all my files. Also I'm having trouble finding out how to change the my file info:confused:
edit: Also, what should my Active DSP be set at? Right now the only one is volume control.
Your gonna hear a lot more questions from me tonight Soup! Mostly all my files are encoded to 320kbps and I got my 212's kicking:)
Ok one thing I don't like is I can't figure out how to rename files in my playlist. I have a ton right now that are titles "unknown", and the band name is in with the song title. It's so easy in Winamp, and I can't figure out how to do it in Foobar.
You might wanna go into the "Display" then "title formattting" section. Not the easiest to modify but can be done with patience. As for DSP's the volume control is the only one you need. You might wanna experiment with the "resampler" DSP and see if you like it.
This is the prettiest I was able to make my foobar player.;)
Remember, this is a minimalistic player with the emphasis on "sound quality".:D

Any help with re-naming tracks in my playlist? I can deal with the rest, but this is really pissing me off:mad:
I also want my playlist to just display the Band name, and then the track title to the right. I don't want album to be displayed.
I tried messing around with that setting, but it's in a code that I don't understand, lol.
I've looked and don't seem to know how to change that.:(
Could you post a screenshot of the problem?
Yeah sure gimme a sec:)
OK here it is. I made a semi-pretty, and you'll see to the left the code I'm talking about.

I've fixed your link.;)

I see what you mean. Unfortunately, I've never run into that problem. I would just edit the formatting in the "display" properties to remove the "artist" part.
Hmm, even when I removed that part it still hasn't changed:confused:
I'll figure it out sometime...
Just be patient with the display formatting section. You'll get the hang of it.:D
PS. Don't forget to hit "apply".
how are you getting 900+ kbs encoded music ><
I might have made a type, but my MP3's are all 320kbps. I use a program called dbPowerAmp to rip my cd's:)Quote:
