Are any of you saving up or planning to buy an r420?
ATI claims this one will be easy double a 9700 pro in performance  so does anyone have their eye on getting one of those? It is speculated to be 450/900 clocks with 12x1 pipelines and the r450 may be 500/1050. Both on .13 microns. pci express verson might also be available  Would you get one of those even if you already have a 9800 pro or can it wait till 2007? :D

OK, T'bird I'll bite. I'd prolly get it BUT I'll wait for reviews and benchmarks to see if it's all it's been made out to be. ;) Yes, I have 2 Rad cards so R420's performance MUST be outstanding for me to even consider it.:)

Excuse me, are you saying that there'll be a R420 and R450? I thought the R420's the 'baddest' bada$$ from ATI?

We have to have something badder than the R420 though. The R420 will not be fast enough someday.

Tbird claims there to be an r450, if that is true then that's what the prices will be most likely.

Hopefully there would be a $200-$250 varient that just has disabled pipelines that can be re-enabled with software :)
