Yeah, how many times already? like 3?
Can someone verify this?
Also, wasn't that April 14th date there long time ago?
Who cares??? Way too late and too much competition out there. They would have to make a revolutionary leap in game play now to be anything more then a joke.Anyone remember a game with mechanical frogs that was really dark and ugly?? I think this will be the sequel.
I doubt it will ever be released.
Those screenshots look like the original HL graphics
reminds me of diakatana
Why the hell do we bother posting about this game anymore? Is anyone really interested in it?
I think we're all interested in it because as soon as it is released we will lose a large part of our computer gaming history and tradition. How can we make DNF jokes if it actually isn't vaporware? It's one of the constants of the gaming universe on which everything else is based.Quote:

I hope you understand the significance now! :p
Edit: forgot a question mark
What competition? Developers don't say "we need to be the only game on the market", they say "we want customers to buy our game".Quote:

We can buy more than one game ya know. ;)
If I buy this game it will because I want to see what a big joke it is.
i remember last winter when the release date was 6/03.. and the winter before that was somewhere around 9/02
I don't necessarily care about the game anymore but I'll bet it gets delayed until November 2004 or something.
Are you sure that didn't say "April 1, 2004"?:p
I'll buy it... but I'm not sitting here waiting for it... Duke3D was one of the most "fun" games out.
Those photos are from the 2001 E3 video if I'm not mistaken...
Damn... You mean to tell me that they havent improved the graphics since then?? Or they're just using those as place holders for now...

Placeholders. They don't represent the current state of the game ... which is why they were removed from 3drealms official homepage. :)Quote:

As many times as they have had to rebuild "Duke," they could have released three games already. DNF is the stuff of urban legend. Is it the most delayed game of all time? It still might be cool when it comes out, but I think the confidence level on it being good is at an all time low.
They have had plenty of time to improve upon the gameplay, workout the bugs, etc :)Quote:

I still believe :D... I believe it's DUKE NUKEM: FORNEVER. It will hit the shelves when we (the 1st duke generation) has passed away, and the company will laugh on our graves and call us suckers for believing it could come out in our lifetime. What a bunch of a$$holes those execs are...
Thoses execs can't laugh at us since they will be dead too.
I thought about this before I posted... we (the sharky members) spend most of our precious time and money on our computers. The execs spend most of their time doing work. I predict that they will have enough money to buy artificial (bionic) limbs and organs to keep them living until 2200 AD. This is all while the average sharky member (let's say 20 years of age for our purposes) will have died by 2100 AD. So there you have it, they will dance and party on our graves.Quote:

This would be true if they keep to one game engine. Last I heard, DNF was using the Unreal engine (as in Unreal 1). Now this may or may not cause them problems as there have been several new games released that use a greatly modified half-life engine. Of course all those games have been criticized as having dated graphics.Quote:
