Same here, and they said I could pick my game up Monday night.
SAY WHAT?
What if I ordered 2 day shipping? Is it still availible for in-store pick-up?
I hope he wasnt lying to me,thats why I will only do in store pickup for pre-orders, shipping takes too long.
Yep. Ebgames. Starting to regret it to, since everybody seems to being saying Gamestop and even Best Buy will have it sooner.
Oh, and Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128Mb.
800x600 Medium details here I come!:p
want to but I don't know if I can afford the $50...might have to wait a few days
I have a different problem, I got the $50, but I'm cheap :DQuote:

yes, gamestop, sapphire 9600pro atlantis
Look at the Doom III hardware guide. I would expect your rig to get around 40 FPS at 1280*960 High Details.Quote:

I was under the impression that while my CPU will be great, and video card good, my RAM would really limit everything.
I mean, weren't their test machines like 3Ghz using 2Gbs of RAM or something ridiculous like that?
I'm just trying not to get my hopes too high. ;)
RAM doesn't matter that much unless you're running under Ultra Quality. You'll be fine at High Details. Check out some of the Athlon rigs.
Damn, I hope you're right.Quote:

We'll find out in 2-3 days though...:D
You should do quite nicely at 1024x768 and 1280x960 with high setting....with AA/AF even!:D 512mb of ram should be enough....though 1gb would be ideal.;) When you can, you should really be looking into an A64 setup, it'll let your card really spread its wings, so to say.Quote:

For me, pre-ordered from local gameshop, ETA 4th August (3rd in the US)....will pick up the game myself....that's how impatient I am!:p Albatron 6800GT.
Hehe, one step ahead of you. See my sig. ;)Quote:

Got an A64 on the way!:D
Only problem though, is the PC2700 Kingston will hamper it, although probably not to a noticeable degree for me. Either way, my next upgrade will be memory, for sure.
i played the alpha leak on my rig (in sig (i'll buy the original so dont worrie ;) ) and it runs really smooth to be honest. Now with the knowledge a few things are added in a scene + optimisation it think i should be fine @ 1024x768x32 high detail.
Allllllright!!! :D Soon, I shall be able to call you my A64 brethren.:cool:Quote:
