In canada we just call them names.
yeah;
that was me ....like my work :p
I suppose I'm playing devil's advocate here but was that really necessary? Yes, spammers are the bane of every person's existence but this seems overkill.
Guess there are different levels of consumer justice out there.
I can understand the anger. Not sure I'd murder over it, but to each country their own...
Prison would be more adequate. No matter how much I hate spammers, death penalty is never the right thing to do. All they do is waste other people's money and time after all.
It definitely wasn't necessary, spamming is annoying but definitely not worthy of violence or extremes like this.
John
A bit over the edge, but since spamming is not even a crime in Russia, I guess somebody felt they needed to take matters into their own hands.
I wonder how much money a businessperson in Russia can lose due to spamming. If it is a high number, many tens of thousands of dollars, I can see why someone would be uber-torqued.
Ehh the Russians... used to live there for 5 years and no offense to any Russian people but this was and as I see still is an everyday thing.
Spamming or killing?
I thought the situation got better in Russia? I guess this guy just spammed the wrong Mafia Boss :p
Killing...
Nothing is getting better in Russia. It's getting worse as a matter of fact. You wanna know what's the latest invention of the government? - You can go to prison if you're caught publically critisizing the Russian government or it's constitution. Democracy eh?!
:(
Where's Bush when you need him? Oh, that's right, meeting with Putin to discuss the problems of other countries!
People yell at Bush for getting involved, then yell at him when he doesn't.
Anyway, politics are off topic so I'll get back on topic.
Is Russia part of any of those multi-country treaties about things like Copyright or Internet or stuff like that? Or do they have their own individual laws that cover technology stuff?
How are politics off topic in this thread? They're a big part of the general situation in russia, which has been the topic since post #6/7.
Same here in the States :mad:Quote:

America Bashing ain't cool - and anyway, it's off topic. :(
If bashing the american government is illegal, why are there protests?
America allows its people to criticise the government. The states are a much better country than most american democrats (and foreigners in general... seems Michael Moore really got the anti-american attitude up. Whenever I argue about america, some idiot is bound to say "but in F911, blah blah". God, I wanna punch anyone who mentions that movie in the groin. It's a load of crap.) think.
All I was saying is that instead Lenin meeting with others on the situation in Russia / the Middle East, he could think about how things are going in his ountry for a minute.
In the end, the punch line is... "don't mess with the consumers or the people!" :D
Doesnt america have a law that throws people in jail for flag burning lol. Thats the same thing as critizing a constitution.
I shouldnt talk though, about ten years ago an american soldier morched around a baseball game in the states during the world series with a canadian flag upside down (it was toronto against someone) and people in toronto were going to hold american flags upside down when the series went to toronto as revenge.
But they were threatened, security would grab anybody that did that.
Thats the only baseball game in my life I was going to watch too, (because of the contriversy) but I forgot all about it. I hate baseball, next to golf its the worlds most boring sport.
Fun to play though.
They've been trying for an amendment to the constitution to prevent this, but currently there isn't a federal law about flag burning. In fact, burning is the recommended way to destroy old flags.Quote:
