PC version is 10 $ less...controls are better on the PS3....

Pc version if you own a 360 controller, if not then get it with a 360 controller.
a shooter that can't be played with a mouse?
I think it plays better on PC, but thats me.
If you go PC turn off V-sync a lot of people are having problems with a mouse lag bug.. if it's a bug. I don't but I only killed one creature so far. The game ran super smoothing with every thing turned up.. I'll get to it once I finish Far Cry 2 (42% and over 30 hours so far:))
I'd imagine pc + headphones = win
I would go with PC...
I would never touch a FPS with a gamepad.
plus later on usercreated content will make the game much better.
look at Oblivion. it was alright
but with the user created content like hi res texutres, mods the game is AWESOME and looks BEAUTIFUL now.
things like that is NOT GOING to happen on the xbox or ps3... unless you are willing to pay for download contents. (lame)
and in the future what ever new gfx or gadgets you get will only make the game much better.
First of all, as already mentioned, this is not an FPS. Secondly, have you even played this game? I usually prefer shooters on the PC myself, but I thought this was right @ home on a console. Story might have been different if there was some MP in the mix.
While headphones would be nice, 5.1 or greater takes this game to another level. Best sound design to any game I've played to date.
1- this is not an FPS, its as close to RE4 controls as can be and 100% 3rd person
2- Is there any hope that EA will release a construction tool set for this game? I wouldnt count on it. This really aint the type of game that will see tons of mods.
3- This game is very scripted, so mods ala oblivion just would not cut it, the sounds, voices, music and overall environment scripting for this game is way beyond an open ended game ala oblivion, actual developer content, even for paid DLC, would trounce any fan project. (i really doubt timmy in his basement has the equipment to record scary sounds nor position them in any professional way).
there are some mods people can probably do. like new weapons and high res textures and some level.
this game is kina like doom3 in so if u think about the mods available for doom3 it can probably be done with DS.
since both games pretty much have you running inside hallways and such.
unless the 360/ps3 can do this.. I'm not interested

You can just use the ps3 controller in the pc :p
thats an awesome picture rimmer...where do you live ? I'm bringing beer !! lol
been trying to decide the same thing....I've never liked playing shooters on consoles either. Can't aim worth a crap vs using a mouse. Especially since this game sounds like it focuses on accuracy, not sure how that would work on my PS3. However I bought my PS3 as a blue ray player for my home theater room. It's hooked up to a 720P projector throwing a 10' diagonal image and a 6.1 sound system. I'm thinking the game would be bad*** on that setup vs. my PC. I don't know.....
everytime I goto the key control stting on options, the game crash to desktop :(
I like using the mouse buttons for movement so the PC version screwed me over as I can't reassign them. Tried the PS3 version, and its much better. Too bad I already bought the PC version. Damn.
