Very nice man, I think the only thing I would do cosmetically is make your header span the entire width rahter then be cut off by the side frame, but it looks very nice! Good job, and its on my favorites list...ya know where all the cool people are.

Thought about that but when you see the supply in and what is going on with the mod and layout you will see why I did not go full length. The final product of the case mod tells it all, when you guys see it it will blow your mind. Ask Duckman he was one of the lucky few to see the case mod complete. Thats why I reccomend the jigsaw, it is a tool that your are able to control for fine detail work. Thanks for the kudo, aint seen nothing yet though. My Computer harddrive died on me
It's an IBM 7200RPM 20gig i had it for 2-3 weeks LOL it's IBM dang it!! i thought it was the best! blah ha i'm going to send it back and get a western digital.

i ordered from egghead.com a well known computer online store and ahhh.. one day it just quit working, my screen frozen then i reboot and it said "disk boot failed" harddrive kept making noise as it trying to read it. I can't install and retreive any infomation from it.

I really like the site Colt. I enjoyed the computer project a lot. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from it too. I can't wait to see what else you're going to do with that case. My next computer is definitely going to have a custome case (this one didn't in my sig only because I had to get it built quick before I went off to school).

First off what type of primer are you using. And before you spray that use a deglosser or even some paint thinner to wipe the plastic down first, this will take the sheen off the plastic. Then a good automotive primer will work fine, Spray on very light coats with a light sanding of 220 wet Make sure you use the water, paper inbetween each coat of primer. Should do you just fine.
About three light coats and because automotive primer is sandable in 15 min it does not take long.

Jigsaw, the one I use in the pic is by dewalt.
Would have bought a portacable but the one I wanted was not on the shelves yet. There are three commercial grade I recomend all have Variable speed and orbiting action. The first and least expensive about 150 US is the portacable. then dewalt, 180 us, then millwakie, 170 us.
All three have quick blade change feature which requires no tool just a turn or flip[ of a lever, they can use any blade on the market no matter what style the end is. Bosh blades are the best quality blades on the market. Unfortunatly if those are a little rich, though they will last you a lifetime, the next home owner, contractor grade would be Ryobi, (dont tell anyone I said that). It is about 100us and is decent but the life span is short, The one thing I have learned in my trade is pay the extra 50 now or you will pay three times that latter.

Have you ever tried using the paints that they make for plastic car models? If you go to the hobby stroe you should be able to find them. I've been wanting to try this because Testors makes these totally awsome metalizer paints that actually use metal dust (I think) in them. I've used them on models and I swear to God the stuff looks exactly like real metal. You actually buff the paint once it's dry (which dries super quick, like 5min max) and it makes the paint really nice. I can't remember now what different metals they have, but I remember using aluminum on a Mercedies CLK-GTR model and it looked absoloutly amazing. Everyone thought the body was made out of a piece of aluminum. One you buff it then you have to put a clear sealer on it too otherwise the metal dust can rub off eventually, but the stuff looks really nice. Only draw back is that it's a little expensive, but if you're already spending a ton on your computer it should just be a drop in the bucket. When I put it on I used an air brush, but the paint is so incredible thin that you could probably brush it on too without getting any drips. It's the consistency of alcohol. Any runs or streaks you get from the brush should also be able to be buffed out, so if you don't have an air brush you probably wouldn't need to buy one. Well, I hope this helps and have a blast building!
