Honestly its worth waiting for. If you must you could get 2 128's or however many you need. But yes the 256's are the best value. I don't know anyone else other than Mushkin who uses Mosel Vitelic. Obvious memman is significantly cheaper than Mushkin's rev2 for the exact same product.
I didn't ask how long the back order delay is but since memman does such volume I'd imagine its less than 2 weeks.

True but I'll put my sticks against Mushkin's anyday. I mean there's nothing wrong with the Mushkin product at all, like I said before their rev2 is exactly what memman sells. Their rev3 supposedly is guaranteed at 2-2-2 on a 150FSB. I do a 155FSb at 2-2-2.Quote:

From Mushkin their rev2 is Mosel 7ns, whereas their rev3 is from Infineon but its supposedly just 7.5ns. I cannot figure this one out.
Memman does sell 256 of Infineon but they also sell 256 of Mosel. That is what is currently on BO.

Hold it now I get your question: why is Mushkin's rev2 infineon and not mosel. Probably because Mosel just brought out the 256 within the last month whereas Mushkin has been selling their product for several months now.

Notice the pictures they're the same sticks. Mushkins site incorrect advertizes the ram as 7.5ns whereas you can clearly see the last number on the sticks is 7.

I was kidding about the "Hand Pick", I know they claim it but I don't know if I believe it.
I have 2-128MB Rev. 2 and they have Mosel Vitelic 7ns chips.

Yeah every single review I've seen of the Mosel sticks has them all doing at least 152 at 2-2-2. So one could blindly hand pick some Mosel sticks and you'll probably still meet your guarantee of 150.Quote:

I know it might seem as though I'm stroking Mosel and memmnan now, but when I ran my Celeron even on a 127FSB I did not fully appreciate how good they are. Now I just feel I owe it to this community to share how awesome this product really is, that's all.

I know how you feel. When I run my ratio at 4:4:1 I can get 155MHz FSB, processor and memory(2-2-2), and it runs without fail for days on end. That's pretty cool for a couple of sticks of PC133. https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/06/6.gif
But you know it's really PC143. https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/08/2.gif

The 128MB Mushkin High Performance REV2 PC133 222 is only 79$ and 0 shipping with FedX(2day).
The Memory Man 128Mb, Mosel PC-133Mhz SDRAM is 75$ Plus 9$ for US Insurred Mail. So the Memman is not cheaper!
128mb-Memman = 84$
128mb-Mushkin= 79$
Maybe the 256MB is the better deal with Memman?

All it says is Back-Order on Memman? What is the price for the 256MB Mosels? Not that Mushkin has any to pair prices with. https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/08/2.gif

2 questions:
1) How can you tell (symptoms) when it is time to change your CAS settings (2 to 3)? Is this the same setting in (KT7a board) SoftMenuIII that is 0-1Bank: Turbo?
2) Is mixing Crucial with Memman/Mosel/Mushkin bad? Should I buy another crucial stick or can I buy a Mushkin PC150 with no problems?

I was thinking the same thing about price when I saw 79$!!! I paid 130$ for generic 128mb of PC100 that will not even hit 2-2-2 @ 100.

Crucial uses Micron chips. So I can't recall ever having mixed Mosel and Micro. But they are name brands and no one has said any thing about those being bad. My guess would be it's ok to mix just those 2 maybe.Quote:

Figuring out when it's time to Change from Cas2 to Cas3 is not always easy. Normally you just push your system with cas2 until explore and other program crash. Then you know it's time for more VIO volts and cooling. But those only make it go a few Mhz more at Cas2. After that it's back down to cas3 to make it stable. But I would not use Cas3 unless your trying to brag about your processer. And we all know that Processers can only take your system go only so much fast before it hits the bandwith fillrate limit.
