Go back to the shop and tell those cowboys to learn some tech stuff or stop BS'ing their customers!

8RDA+ was re-released in UK, and if they're still available they're all Revision 2.1 :p
-
Ti 4200 => 9700 Pro was the best upgrade I ever made, games are really worth playing now for the IQ and sustained framerate.

lol, it don't have to be a beta to be full of bugs as I have sadly found out it many of the recent Catalyst releases. :p

I'm surprised that T-Bird hasn't posted in this thread yet, it's just crying out for some pro-Nvidia propaganda from him.

If it were me, I'd recommend the NF7 Rev 2.0 over the 8RDA+ - I have two 8RDA+ (Rev 1.1 and 2.1) but don't use them, I ran into lots of voltage-related problems, these boards need a lot of mods in my...

I only disable V-Sync for benchmarking, because my refresh rate is set to 85 Hz and I wouldn't notice anything fps higher than 85 anyway. The tearing that you get without V-Sync enabled really pisses...

I guess it all depends on what you'd rather spend that $15 on, like beer maybe :D

These are supposedly the best, but they are much more expensive than any other RAM heatsink I have found. I can't speak for the 9700 Pro...

If you have the money there then by all means go for it, but think about it for a second, for the price of Tweakmonsters you already have a significant amount of money towards putting towards a more...

I say it's fine if it's a diode reading, and even if it was a socket reading I wouldn't give **** until I had bad stability problems because with modern mobos it is actually very hard to cook a chip,...
-
From reading the experiences of others, the majority of stability problems due to mosfet heat occur on Epox boards. And the fact they feel cooler to me on my NF7-S than my old Epox boards too.
-
Yeah I will try that, though when reading up before I bought this RAM it did say that the PC3700 preferred relaxed timings. Incidentally, I tried the RAS at 11 and 5 just to see if it gave me any...

The only other thing I can think of is the Vreg/mosfets cooking a bit, because the voltages fluctuate quite a bit. I got some copper sinks that I just need to cut then I might stick them on with...

Running at 215x11 with my 2500+, I need to set Vcore to 2V in BIOS for stability but MBM5 constantly reports it between 1.90-1.92V under load. When idle it sometimes goes to 1.94V, but not higher....
