no, as I mentioned before, frozen throne was never capped at that low, 64. It wasn't like this before. And I tried installing and reinstalling it also. no go. same thing, the max the game will go...
-
Fraps is showing 64. monitor is set for 100, i've tried multiple resolutions with different refreshes, it's like that refresh force has no effect.

I didn't know if your question was directed to flutie98 or me. but I'll answer it anyways.
Even if I do have vsync on, it's still capped at 64 (just tried it). And yes, Vsync would not make that...

Yes, I have seen a dead pixel on a CRT before.
It does look like a dead pixel on a lcd. there's no way of getting rid of it.
I thought at one point in time too, that dead pixels only existed for...

heh, that's what I did. and thats what didn't return me back to normal settings.
If I did, what would I do differently anyways?

exactly,... I don't know what I did differently. It's really weird. I don't really want to post in the bnet forums either, those guys there I think don't really know anything in terms of technical...

I never play with it on. I always have it off also, and I never get tearing. My games all work nice.

no it's not fraps, because I notice the framerate with my eyes. In frozenthrone the framerate of the scrolling bars arn't smooth enough. It's pretty simple to test, I even put my res to 640x480x16,...
-
nope that's not it. that's direct draw, not direct 3d. Anyways, i did change that to 100. and still getting capped at 64 in frozenthrone.
-
yeh, "wait for vertical sync" option set to always off under the direct3d tab.
-
does anyone know how to bypass this? (see topic)
I've tried everything.
I've tried programs like powerstrip, refreshlock, refreshforce, etc.
I've tried installing my monitor drivers.

hmm.. are you using mplayer2.exe?
aka version 6.4? alt-enter?
-
windvd never worked for me.

yes, take the vidcard out physically, and look on the card. And jot down anything that may be important.
chipset name, model numbers, etc.
