    A bootable MS-Dos CD?

    Well ill be honest, i hate 3.5" drives, so i try to keep it disconected, does anyone know how i can go about making an MS-dos bootable CD-ROM?

    When i run that it ask me to "insert floppy to write", im looking to make a bootable CD, not a bootable floppy.

    I may have missed it but i didnt see anything there for a bootable CD, i may be wrong but i think the bootable CD and bootable floppy are somewhat different, i remember having a ehll of a time tying to get a bootable floppy to actually read the CD-ROM drive.
    i didn't see anything either. Nero Burning Rom has an option to create a bootable data disc, though I'm not sure if that's exactly what you need. I know they have a free trial somewhere, I've used it.

    Might be a long shot, but try this.


    Get COMMAND.COM, MSDOS.SYS and IO.SYS, and copy them to a cdr. Include any programs you want, such as FDISK, FORMAT, all the non external commands you need. Then burn the cd, close it, and bam. Don't know how you'll make it work though, as you still need CD rom support.

    I think ill go with nero, as i have a copy bundled with my burner
