get a 3rd party program like cc cleaner and uninstall it from there. There is also a program the registry of all installed files to ensure of a complete uninstall.

If that doesn't work, run in safemode?

I do not know about Toolbar updater per-se.

One of the ways to get rid of "Pests" like this is to.

Run Process Explorer and Kill the processes that are involved with the pest.

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s...rnals/bb896653

Then delete the installation of the "Pest" in the Program Files.

If the files of the pest are locked this can be use to Unlock them.

    http://www.emptyloop.com/unlocker/

Then use ccleaner to clean the Registry.

    ---------------
It will take few minutes to download and set the above free tools.

However, it is a Good thing to have ready on your computer since it is a method that help to get rid of most unwanted "Pests".

LOL, sorry, what I meant how to delete my original post....

anyway, I disabled it, it is part of bing, bing still works with it disabled, cpu usage/spikage stopped...lavasoft loaded and did deep scannage, been awhile, was able to get rid of some semi nasty trackers, CCleaner was revisted too...

net result, a slightly faster browser, go figure...
