We conquered I love that term 63 teams in the last 3 hours and 144 in the last 24. We're the second best team out of the top 500 and always improving. I anticipate adding 124 points myself with the next few hours . I have my home pc set to earn 53 by around noon PST and my work workstation 1.7Ghz celeron set to finish a 71 pointer some time later today. I've also put folding on 2 of our school's laptop's which are P4 2.4Ghz's. However, the school was only willing to allow folding during normal hours. That is, sadly they won't leave they laptops on 24/7 but rather about 40 hours a week. Still over time that will help us. I noticed the ranking page has us now projected for 30K point by years end which would put us near the current top 500. If we can grow a bit in terms of folding rig I want us to shoot for that top 500 by years end. Hopefully by year's end we'll have doubled or even tripled the rigs we got going and can begin a serious assault on being a top 100 team in 2004. Our output the past 24 hours does exceed that of 19 top 100 team so we can do it. Sharky Forums has NO Threats! I like that line as well

I can put it on a couple G4's... Although, being macs and all, I'm sure it'll take them a year to do WU.

    Nice! I have it on about 12-15 compies atm. About 6 P3 666's, and about 5-6 P4 2.4s, and a 1700+.

Since they are school compies I didn't wanna have it on full load type stuff, so I put the processor usage to about half.

Quick question, I see that I have "4 active processors" but only 2 WUs. Does that mean that some of them submitted failed results or somethin?

Here is part of an email that I sent to relative's that are not members of Sharky's Forum but are members of our folding team.

"Good job on the projects that you have finished. I would like to see you make up a nice little email with links explaining why folks should look into doing this and send it to everyone in your address book. Make sure they have our team number when they get set up, 34149, and recruit some folks to our team. Also advise them of setting their CPU usage if needed. Folks today do not have a lot of time to volunteer for things and this is a worthy cause. It takes absolutely nothing to do it. If you only get two or three people and those two or three get two or three people then we could make a significant contribution".

I do not know how it will turn out - but it was worth a try.

Wow! Were making progress by leaps and bounds. I've asked a couple friends that are not sharky members to join the cause and use our team number. I have repeatedly told them about how much useful information is here for the taking but they don't seem interested, anyway I think that we are using our computer power for a good cause. It would be sweet if we could make it too the top 10!!!

No, I`m not going to worry about it, I`m just going to keep on using the 3.24 core and restart my computer to get SSE boost. I am consentrating more on getting my WU`s done then messing around with it any more.

Allow me to encourage you to do it the way speedy, myself and others are doing it. As long as the original beta 3.25 icon is in your folding @ home folder, merely shortcut to startup and add the advmethod and forceasm to your target line. I've also added the shortcut link to my folding @ home in my programs.

On a side note of misery when I left for work today I accidently quit my folding needless to say I missed 12 hours of folding

I have followed, yours and his instructions and I can`t get it to work, I have even uninstalled everything and did it all over again and nothing I do will make it work right, so now I have it reporting I am running 3 processors and I am only running one. So I figure, its not all that much trouble to download a package and restart to enable the SSE boost and have it run on the 3.24 core, seeing as I`m not running my computer 24/7.

I have ended up using the 3.24 core with SSE boost enabled. I am up late tonight finishing up a p344 500 and it is doing a 5 count about evey 9 minutes, so I estimate that it will have taken me a total of 15hrs to complete it, it is hard to compare it with someone else because all of us are running at differant speeds.
